Watch the whole video, not only the beginning:

I like the end... can't we do an AutoX in Bitburg like that, Garry?

I don't know too many people that can even do a controlled 180 degree drift. You will have to practice a bit if you want to play in that league.
Maybe we can add a 4th discipline to the "King of the hill" challenge....drifting

Is that all those guys can come up with? I'm sorry, but that's just a waste of tires.

I doubt that, not with the tires they're probably using. Regardless, I think it's a stupid sport. But hey- that's just my opinion, right??

Seen as a sport drifting is propably quite stupid, but so is dragracing. Have a hot car, drop the clutch on the green , shift twice, a bit of a no-brainer.
On the other hand (as a test of skill and car control), well executed drifting is not nearly as easy easy as you may think. But then most guys will propably say "my car is only set up for the 1/4 mile".

It's just a matter of preference, and I'd prefer to watch someone get the front wheels up off the line, and run a 9 second 1/4 as opposed to watching a bunch of guys "drift".

Why would you put a big rear wing on your car, when you go for drift challenge?

And don't have most japanese car front wheel drive? I can't actually remember one japanese car with rear wheel drive!

It looks like some of those have rear wheel drive. I know the Supras have RWD, but I'm not sure of any others. Well, except for like Civics and Accords- I KNOW they don't have RWD. :D

Put down the MR2 for RWD ... I would imagine the Nissan Z series being RWD, too ... (dunno for sure)

I see there a Nissan 200SX (S13), it's definitely a rear wheel and only 1200kg. Very nice to drift with!! :D
The 300ZX is also a RWD. The Skyline is an AWD!!

But I think that kinda looks stupid running in a circle and drifting around, hehehe, I mean who needs that?!

Drag Racing is interesting to watch, tho I prefer F1 etc... aaand you can always make private 1/4 mile racing on the streets at the red light! *gg*

I had a tuned Nissan 200SX and can confirm that it's a very nice drifter. However it had the worst brake fade and warped disk problems that I ever experienced on a "sportscar". Would not survive 2 laps of Hockenheim.

I think he realized that we didn't care about whether he actually had that or those cars, and that we weren't that worried about losing to him. Not that we wouldn't, but just that we didn't care either way.
