hehe
we where looking at a possible winter car and there was a turkish car seller driving by very slowly and looking at our all black maro. He stoped and asked me if I want to sell my car. My answer was of course no but he said he would pay good. I said, well you could have it for 30.000 EUR! Then he wanted to take a closer look at it. I told him about the car and also showed off with my QTEC *gg*. He was of course totally thrilled. Then he tried to negotiate a better price and when he saw that I just won't go down with the price, he proposed me to trade cars. I asked for what he has to offer. He offered me a '01 Porsche Boxter S with about 250PS if I remember right... and then a '99 Mercedes SL 320 with 230PS. I had to laugh and say nope, but we had a very nice talk. He invited me to his Garage to show me his collection, which I'd have accepted if I wouldn't be looking at my possible winter car at the moment.
As good as I know these guys and coz I had to deal many times with them, I know he wanted to make a deal with me the same day!
Now, would any of you have traded any of these cars for his F-Body and would you ever do it for another Non-F-Body?

If you want a lesson in vehicle dynamics you should at least test drive the Boxster S. Two weeks ago I had a S at Hockenheim and managed to beat up on the Lotus Elises and Opel Speedsters. On the track it is faster than the Firechicken (who again will run rings around your Camaro).
If you just want to be cool, cruise and be seen, then keep the Camaro. The Boxster does not have the same stretched, powerful visual appearance to compete.

Nope, I like my Camaro too much (V8!), wouldn't have traded it. However, I have no objections against owning a Camaro AND the Boxster.

Steph, is there a Boxster Turbo?
I would trade my car for a Boxster. Take it back to the states and sell it and I can buy 3 Camaros!

There is no Boxster Turbo.
That's a nice idea, Jason!

A guy from US checked the new Mustang and said it has smth, but it looks a lot better on the pix than in real, specially the interior. Same cheap chit!

The interior is still far better than ours. The Corvette's is really nice, as is the GTO interior.

I'd take a 996 or 997, too ... but if it really had to be, I might also swap for a Boxster ...

I just don't like the ass end of the Boxters. They look gay in my opinion.

Ouch Sure, the 911 series cars look nicer, is is a better sports car, but I think for the price you get a pretty decent car ...
I don't know where I saw it, but the new Boxster S had some pretty decent performance specs ...
