Well here are the options on talking tough with the BOSS
1. Do what you want= Trouble!!!
2. your car is more important than the family= dog house!!!
3. 600km to a car show are you crazy?= you better not go!!!
This is what I got with begging.
1. do what you want= you will regret it later.
2. Your car is more important than the family= marry your car.
3. 600km to a car show are you crazy?= She told me I was if I go 600km to look at cars.
So I asked her to come along she said
1. NO.
So I tried to get one day
1. YOUR STUPID
It is not over yet. (but almost) if I can be there and not catch the wrath = WWIII. I will thanks for the advice. I am going on vacation to the in-laws in the morning. If I am not there I will be wishing FBE a awesome time at the show. I hope you guys understand

Sweeny, I feel your pain brother. My wife unleashes the wrath atleast once a month over softball tournament's or car shows, not to mention the last three months I have been working on my interior almost everyday after work. Here what I do to get my weekends. 1. Quality time is the key Bro Take her to see a lame love movie 2. Hours on end of shopping for womans cloths just so she can go back to the store you started at and buy everything there. 3. Do something cool with the inlaws the weekend before then after you get back BBQ some ribs or steak. I always score huge with that one. 4. The last tell her you have been waiting all year to go to this show and you really want her to come with you mabey she will come and you still get to go or she will feel guility and let you go solo. You better make sure the honeydo's are finished or it could be tough. Good luck. JAZ

Hey guys... Not all women are like that. I believe when you marry you are a team. One has to support the other. I guess George just lucked out when he found me. On this car issue I support him, just like I would if he were building mousetrap cars. There is NO KITCHEN PASS and I WILL NEVER BE CALLED THE SPEEDOMITER (slang for the wife). It is all about compromise and support. (Probably more support) Hell, I want to be called a supercharger or NOS. I take pride in the time and effort that goes into our car. (...And to the women that DARE drive an F-Body, you cannot tell me that when you fly by another car you do not go, “Nanny nanny boo boo you cant catch me.â€

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying anything bad about my wife... It's just taken her a little while to get into the whole car thing. She's about 85% there (Krystenna maybee you could get her more into it if you are at the Hockenhiem show). What I am saying is that both of us work full time and she goes to school on 2 nights out of the week. That is usually when I work on the car... it's those other nights that I'm out there until 2 am and she's not there is when she gets grumpy. Although she can't be there all of the time (she has to be within 20 min's of work while she's on call and my garage is about 30 - 40 min away) she would like top be. I have slowly gotten her to come out there and help me out in whatever way I need it. So don't get me wrong I am lucky as well just sometimes more than others (with the car that is). But I will agree with you (even though I haven't meet you) with the way George talks about you he is indeed lucky. I just can't wait until the day when my wife is into the car as much as I am..... which hopefully will be sometime soon!

Hey, great site here. Thanks to Mike from Bamberg for letting me know about this Site and club!! My wife, Son, and I should be in Hockenheim for this event. Her parents live a half hour away and we used to live a 5 minute walk from the ring. Since I'm driving a '68 it'll be slow going for me (wasn't really built for gas mileage and at 33 years old she just doesn't handle like the yung uns).

How will I know where to find you guy's once I get there? Is it 30DM a day or for the whole event?

I'm looking forward to meeting you guys.

Just look for a bunch of F-Bodies at the same place, possibly with a big banner up ...

AFAIK, it's 30,- for a car for the whole event ... I think no extra charges for the passengers ...

Nice car, by the way ...

Well, I'm new around here and thought I would say hey. I talked to someone the other day about this. He said the Spang/Bitburg lot were meeting at Spang gas station. If there's not a problem, I would love to tag along with you guys. I have the parents over for a week, so I gave them an altumatum. Either they come with me or they are on their own for the day. Sounds like they are coming with. SO what exactly is going on at this event? Thanks

Just picture a large number of american cars, plus a smaller bunch of old VW beetles, in total somewhere in the 1000 range, being parked all over Hockenheim ring perimeter ... you can look at the pics from Nürnberg, it's going to be similar ... and F-Body Europe, all piled up at the same place, with a big banner (I assume it's finished?) right in the middle having fun ... :)

Dunno off the top of my head..... You'd have to ask Garry or George that one.

AFAIK, they will have cruising on the ring - last time on the old track, as it will be changed for next year ... dunno what exactly they will have - maybe we luck out and can do some drag racing there, too ... :) They certainly have the space for it ... :-burnout:

So, has anybody heard about the weather for this weekend? I heard nothing but rain and that it's going to be nice and cold. Everybody still planning on going regardless? How about you Scott?
