I filed my taxes online last night, well my federal anyway have to mail in my state, and I am pumped cause I found out I am getting $873 back from state and $5,072 back from federal

Holy sheep shitz! Congrats! 
I did mine yesterday morning, we are only getting 2k back federal, and a measly $260 back from state. I hate my state taxes!!! I get back about a fifth of what I pay in...

I don't pay state taxes, but I am probably going to have to pay this year, due to the sales of some stocks. I just couldn't risk holding on to them after such a huge gain. They weren't Sirius stocks, but I sure as hell thought about it.

You think you guys have it bad. I'd be happy if I could just break even. Last year I only had to pay an extra 2k and that was the lowest since 2000. I can't remember what it is like to not have to pay extra.

look at it this way - if you get money back it means you gave your country an interest-free loan ... but then, getting money back is always nicer than paying extra ...
Plus, I'd be glad to pay millions in taxes if I had the income that goes with it

me too I would only be getting like 1200 back but by putting the kid on there it jumped to over 5 grand I guess that is one advatage to be a broke ass airman

Just dropped off my taxes today ... guess it'll take a month or so before I hear how much I might get back ... nowhere close to what you guys get ...

I went online to check the status of my return right and the turd head site I went through said I havent filed it yet so I followed the instructions and sent it out again plus side is they didnt even try to charge me for it the second time
