One of the guys at work his wife had a baby and him and his wife are ok but the baby it was premature by like 10 weeks and weighed less than 3 pounds when he was born, he is also having some breathing problems and other stuff because the doctors say that his brain is functioning properly yet, the doctors are also saying right now that the baby(Tyler) will be in intensive care for at least three months so this guy and his wife are going through a lot of stress and getting very little sleep they are taking donations for him at work and stuff I am not asking anyone to donate anything, unless you are wanting to which I am sure he would appreciate, but maybe if you guys could say a prayer for them and keep your fingers crossed it would be very much appreciated.
Thanks,
Ronnie

Man this one touches me. You can tell the both of them that there is hope and that modern medicine has come along way. My niece was born at 2.5 lbs. 11 years ago and she had a very low survival rate, but she prove them(doctors) wrong. She is a beautiful, intellegent little girl right now. You would have never known that she was a premature baby and that was 11 years ago. Think of what they can do now. I had a scare myself as you may have read on the board. My wife had a bleed at 34 weeks and found out that she could not go full term. We had to schedule a C-section due to my child could die at birth if natural and or my wife could have bled to death at the cost of giving him life. My son was born 2 weeks early and we named him TYLER James Landry. Strange isn't it. Baby Tyler had his 2 week check up today and he has gained a pound since birth. The wife is doing great also. Keep us posted on the babies progress and also how the family is doing. I will be praying for them.

That is a hard one. There is no appropiate gift when a family is in a situation like this. From my stand point and I think that the wife will agree with me is that it is nice to have close friends there to offer a lending hand. A book is nice if the wife is doing good and if the baby is out of the water, then she can concentrate on reading. Until then then she is only thinkingabout her baby. Flowers are good but they die, not good in this situation. My wife was over whelmed by the amount of people that called to see how she and our baby are doing. It isn't any elaberate gift that says everything, just a jesture of "we are here for you and your family" is what counts. I know that this doesn't help but if every thing goes well then you will have the oppertunity to go out and buy baby Tyler an outfit. Right now it is to soon.

found out today that the baby has more bleeding on the brain and they said it is like a level 4 on the left side and if the right side gets to the same point then monday they will cut off the life support because they said that otherwise the baby would be a vegatable the rest of his life
