Since we always have been following the international and/or german safety guidelines and drag racing reglements, we may get a track permit by DMSB (equal NHRA) for Junior Dragster, so they can collect their points at runs held by 1on1 at Bitburg for the German Masters in 2005.
At the first moment that seems to be nothing special. But take a closer look:
A drag strip permit by the highest german motorsports authority states, that we are an officially accepted race track, with correct time slips etc. even though it is just for the smallest/slowest class for now.
For now we will still run T&T to avoid higher expenses and permits for the drivers, but it is a first big step into the right direction. We can say, in Germany at the year 2005 there are only 3 legal tracks: Hockenheim, Luckau (near Berlin) holding track permits for all classes, and Bitburg, for now JD but with the option for Public Race and Modified Street (our T&T is legal anyhow).
Now please don't worry about the Junior Dragster beeing slow and taking your time away at Bitburg, at this time there is only 6 in total in Germany, so they will only take a few minutes every now and then to run.

On site you won't see much difference now, everything will be as you are used to.

That is awesome! I have been wanting to get my oldest son into the JD class. Don't worry about the JD's going to slow. The ones that I saw in Florida were running faster than most street cars. As a matter of fact it was an 1/8 mile track which I was running 9.0 in a '73 Camaro, 12 year old girl in the JD class car ran 9.1 and the mph was almost the same.

Do you have any prices for the training. I know that my son would be interested and I may be(for my son) depending on the price.

All young drag racing interested folks age 1 through 17 are free @ 1on1 motorsports events, in question (teenagers 16/17) showing their ID.
in specific:
a) free entrance at gate for junior spectators, pit area, camping
b) free registration with Junior Dragsters (age 8 - 17), the ones which participate in the german masters must hold a license, but that is by the DeutscherMotorSportBund (DMSB)
c) approx. 6pm - 8pm, free "Junior Hours"
which includes: Junior Dragster Beginners Training,
Kids 60-foot runs with scooters or running per ped or get carried by parent
everything but no motor bikes and not more than 98dB.
Play at the tree, ask questions, try runs with real print out time slips
and learn all about drag racing.
Junior Dragsters are not allowed to run against a regular car, as any kids game runs will be against an equal partner (to avoid accidents)

if it is cool at night, inside the tent
Eva and I have our both Birthday Party that Saturday. We both age a little in numbers in April.
Normally I do not celebrate Birthdays, but since everybody is giving me a hard time about the "0", I said, oh well, now I really celebrate my 20.

I know, I really feel like 20 but that wrinkled piece of paper which has the german word for "birth certificate" is telling me something different
say it this way, I don't want any candles on my cake, they would not fit

Just a question of how much cake you want to fix ... Hey, but them few candles will fit on almost any cake ... (OK, a cupcake would cut things a bit tight, but ... )

Just cook the cake on someones engine. Shouldn't take too long to cook sitting on someone's headers.

This is the result of a day on the phone with Garry, combining my hardheaded "I want this and this" with his computer skills.
What do you think? Is this ok for this year's poster? any (useful!) inputs, suggestions?

Looks good. The only problem is that I dont see my car there! Or a single Ford Product!!!!!
All covered: Chevy, European, Imports, Classic, etc. but not a Ford!
Man, we get no respect.

yes I tried hard to get as many different makes on the poster as possible...
but it is difficult to find pictures where everything looks right:
background, blue sky, samples of the different motorsport themes...
like on "Slalom" I only had a few pics from last year ... did not want to use PCA pictures.
and you can ask Garry, out of 4600 pics I only found 6 pictures which show the tree hanging straight, good background, and two cars at the start line
will definitely have to take some more pic's this summer!
