Indeed, he was just lucky as that intake is cast aluminum and pieces of that can act like make it very ugly !

I wonder what happened and why it went wrong.
Looked like an backfire since that entire intake section was ****ed up.
I've seen this quite a few times on car running LPG (Liquid Petrol Gas) but usually it never got worse than a torn of folded intake filter and a torn duct hose.

Ouch!

Man, another Sodlier going down because of improper nitrous set ups!

The Cobra intake is not really good for wet Nitrous systems. It was designed as a dry intake. It has 2 plenums (upper/lower) and if the Nitrous is not atomized properly, it will puddle in the lower plenum and any type of backfire, even a little backfire will lit like it did in the video specially if you are running anything larger than a 100 HP pill.

Designed as a dry intake ????????
I don't think Ford ever took Nitrous in account during the deveplopment, i don't think they endorse it either ......

I did not intent to say that it was designed as a "dry nitrous" intake. I meant that it was designed as an air only intake (no mixture).

I dont think that any manufacture will desing thier OEM intakes/motors Nitrous ready!
