I'm going to finish getting my wheel bearings in tonight, then I've just fot the bed by new brake pads and I'm ready to go. Unless something bad happens, I'm going to make it to Nurburgring either Saturday or Sunday. Anyone else going to be there.

Can't make it either.

BTW, there was a red Corvette on the track last Sunday, but I didn't see the driver. First I thought it was maybe you. And there was a new C6. 8)

EDIT: Lancer, if you're going, remember that it does not open before 1.30pm next Saturday.

If the weather holds out I'll be interested.

I was planning on going last weekend until I found a bad wheel bearing, figured that it was just asking for trouble if I took it on the track.

1:30 is better for me, not as many people will go since it isn't open all day and I'm not much of a morning person

If it's raining, I'm out too. Haven't been to the track in about 6 months and I'm not brave (crazy) enough to do the ring in the rain. Hockenheim is fun in bad weather, but Nurburgring would be too much.

I have been on the Nurnurgring in the rain, and even on two wheels with frost ice visible on some sections of track....

Times like those was when I layed off the speed and turned up my skill and ability to overload....

Times like those made me focus on skill and racecraft....

The speed comes naturally....

I miss the Nurburgring..... I have dreams about it...

I loved it... four wheels or two, especially two....

Hopefully in the future I will return to the Nurburgring one day... it will be worth it....

I think it was the weekend after this that I ended up going in the rain. Only had the balls to do 3 laps. The thing that drove me crazy was that some parts of the track would be fine, and other parts would feel like ice. Nearly ended up in the Armco again.

Glad to say I did it once, but not something I look forward to again.

Hockenheim, is a lot of fun in the rain, Nurburgring is just to stresfull

If I don't have to work too late Friday night, I'll try to make it. Was thinking about Sunday but if other people are going to be there I might as well

Not sure if I'm going on Saturday. Looks like the probability of rain is less on Sunday...?! :?

Sorry, went yesterday cause 2 friends of mine went then, too. Not TOO much traffic. Looks like it's actually less traffic on Saturdays compared to Sundays...

Just got back, probably could have gone Saturday if I didn't decide to hang out with Chewy and Dave again on Friday night.

Only got 5 laps in though, between getting a late start this morning, and the rain & wrecks and stupid Brits driving P-cars blocking me for half a lap and the BMW trying to go 3 wide in Adenauer-Forst it was a frustrating day.

I did get a couple of really good laps in. The last one was 9:40 with 3 cautions and one major screw up on my part (5th gear is better than 3rd at 135mph :pat:)

Ben, are you going to be at Bitburg in Aug?

Okay, Who's headed up there this weekend?

I'm thinking Sunday again. I'm expecting to get my new seat in some time this week and if that is the case, I'll probably install it on Saturday.

I'm at 35 laps now, and want to get to 60 before the end of the month. I've got a 24 laps left on a 25 lap card ticket and 170 liters of fuel cupons to burn
