I'm thinking about changing out my TR 224/224 114LSA but wanted to see if there was anybody out there that wanted it. It would be the cam, springs, titamium retainers & locks for $300 obo. runs from 1700-6500rpms. It pulls hard from 2000rpms up to 6800rpms....( according to my tach). It has 6500 miles on it...will also pass smog for those that are worried about that. Looking into having a new cam custom ground for my racing needs :D

Well, as far as I know, the LT1 is the Gen II. The LS1 is the Gen III.

Casting numbers really don't matter. But since Val has a LS1, I'm gonna bet a dollar that it's not gonna work. A new cam is pretty cheap anyways. Just get you a custom grind cam with some ported Vortec heads. You can get a carb set up, or they make TPI base plates for Vortec heads now. You have PLENTY of options for that thing

Will this fit a 99 LS1 Z28?
I´d be in for that than.

There is only one replacement for performance............

MORE PERFORMANCE. (Old germany racing wisdom)

How about mailing this to Germany - or is there a pickup possibility?

Yes it will! it is already here in Germany. Changing the Cam in a LS1 engine is pretty easy also. He is selling it with CC 918 springs titanium retainers and there is no reason buy gaskets for the water pump. I reused mine about 6 time so far.

I´d be in.

Mine is a stock 99 LS1 with SLP Flow Pac on the way. So this will do nicely. Any increase of consumption you noticed? Also how about the idle, is it very rough? I´m between Munich and the Austrian border and i guess you are from the Nuremberg area? Also i never changed a cam in my life, so i´d definitiively need help...

Anybody happen to have a 99 LS1 power progger for sale? Need the rev limiter to go...

Cheers

Red

Look into buying a Predator to tune your car. You could also go with a programs like LS1 edit or HPtuners. Either way you are going to need a tune for your car after that cam install. I have a similar cam in mine.

I didn't change the factory program for a long time after installing the cam. It idled just fine and the intial start up was perfect. With the stock exhaust manifolds and cats it had a nice sounding lope to it. No surging problems of any type. The only time that I noticed a difference in fuel consumption was when I had my foot in it.

I bought the predator programer and have had GREAT service with it. http://www.runninwiththedevil.com/ go to this site and he will give you a GREAT deal plus he can upgrade your computer tune via e-mail. I've had them change mine 5 times for all the different stuff that I've done. Great service and very quick!!
