- take B412 towards A61
- go A61 south towards Koblenz
- exit at exit 35 (Kruft) and turn right towards Kruft (B256)
- on the right side there's an ESSO station
BTW, you left too early yesterday, I thought maybe you wanted a ride in my Camaro? I finally managed to make a passenger puke yesterday (actually I was driving extra-slow on that lap!) - had to stop on the side of the track.
BTW nice brakes of your Corvette, could you tell again what pads you use (I forgot, sorry)?
Ben

I try to find it next time I'm up there, what's your choice of beer.
I left at about 6:30. I did one more lap and decided to call it a day, I had been up since 5:30, so I was done. Next weekend is Le Mans, so I'll be glued to a computer/TV all day Sunday. I might go up the morning of the 25th, but I'm flying home on the 26th, so it won't be a full day.
Speaking of good brakes, you should have rode shot gun for that last lap, some asshole almost rear ended me going into Aremburg. I moved off to the right after Schwedenkreuz so he could pass be in the brake zone before Aremburg, but for some reason the idiot followed me over. If he had just stayed on the racing line, he would have been on the far left side of the track, so I don't know what he was thinking.
The pads are Wilwood E compound. Wilwood says they are for aggresive street/light track duty and I think they are about perfect for N'ring on street tires. I put fresh fluid in on Saturday and used them hard all day and they didn't fade at all, the cool part is my rotors turned a nice shade of blue from the heat.
The H-compound is more aggressive and is probably better for Hockenheim, I might pick up a set of H-pads later this summer, but I want to see how the Es do there 1st. A lot of the guys on the Corvette forum swear by the H-pads.
The down side of the pads is they are not made to be quiet and low dusting like most street pads are and they don't really start to work well until they get warmed up. Great for the track, but it's not so much fun on the street.
What I might do is try their Q-compound for street driving, E-compound for N'ring and H-compound for H'ring.

Should be a 15-20min drive. Quote: glued to a computer/TV all day Sunday. I might go up the morning of the 25th, but I'm flying home on the 26th, so it won't be a full day. Too many idiots were there yesterday. Did you hear that an M3 driver died in the morning at Schwedenkreuz?
And I was thinking before maybe this is going to be an easy not so crowded day... well my last two laps starting at 7 were really great: empty track, no one passed me and I didn't pass anyone.
(thanks for the pad info)

Ben, the beer is yours, I'll bring it to you at Bitburg in 2 weeks.
that one took me 25 min. to find. If any knows of a closer Esso, I'll go for another 6-pack
