Oh well ... :( Guess you'll have to resort to the online version, too, then ... :)

Well, I got NO love in the article!

Hawk, Silke, and Rick got all kinds of print. Hell, even Val's ass was in a pic! He was at the drag strip for 15 minutes! All it was, was a tribute to Hawk blowin up a motor!

Bastards! All of you!

Look at it this way .. what other car manages a low 11s run on a blown engine?

Hawk, how much did you pay him?

and strange, all I ever get asked is: "why are you doing this, how did you get into drag racing and when did you start?"

Good write up in general. Should've put more time to 1on1 factor though and what it took to get there and how it has grown.

Engine Killer. Didn't know that was your real name Bruce. :) Daddy quit trippin your phat azz is on there....even though there is no mug shot it's unbearable to see the front of you anyways. LOL! J/K

Sad thing was the front page story...good article on Bruce and Bitburg though. Hopefully it gets the word out more and grow out attendance.
I'm handling fire on the front page story since Sachs is my "second home" and most of the bar owners know me. THey are hoppin' mad over that article since 90% of it is lies and rumors.

Jason,
Next time I'll make sure that I check with you before anybody takes a pic of me or my car......I wouldn't want you to think that you have to only drag race to get your pic in the paper.
I was just as surprised as everybody else but atleast there was some coverage of what is happening.

No mention of the Slalom though was a little ticked about that.

For those not into the sheer speed of drag racing, events also include slalom racing, which involves navigating around obstacles and negotiating curves. The top three finishers in each division are awarded trophies, not money.

it's at the very bottom, not exactly the best information, might as well have said "oh btw, there are a few guys off to the side driving around cones"
