WTF is wrong w/ people on Ramstein in general. Non driving asses. :x
I'm parked and proceed to back out...look to my right then left then right again and back out next thing you know BAM! I was completely out the parking space and get hit and knocked the rear end of the vehicle 7 ft to the left!

I get out and ask are you alright and please say you weren't speeding. I'm ok and he doesn't respond to the speeding part. Look at the damage of the vehicle and the rear bumper is scratched along w/ the 1/4 panel and the door to the bed is off the hinge. Rubber hammer fix in 5 mns. Hey it's a truck! LOL!

Look at his car ......2000 Honda Accord Sedan. Bumper gone.. right front 1/4 panel..gone......passenger door...gone...passenger front tire....GONE! I'm like WTF?!

Cops come by and it's a German guy on patrol and says I'm at fault?! I'm like dude I'm out of the parking space! Doesn't matter YOU were backing out! Even though my man here was traveling at light speed in the parking lot? Doesn't matter. WTF IS THAT?!

Hope the insurance doesn't jump too high because of this. :(

Back in from now on that way you can see the next time Jeff Gordon is blazin through the parking lot.

I feel your pain, same thing happened to me when I was 17 backing out in my Volvo, and got nailed by a 94 Camaro. Totally my fault.

Good luck with the repairs.

I just don't see how you can be at fault if you were totally out of the space. I wasn't 1/2 way in or something I was literally out. I'm not worried. I know his repairs are gonna be in excess of 2K probably but then again who knows?

I would've thought, too, that it's not your fault when you're completely out of the parking space and then get hit...? Strange... :?

Have you made pictures from it? I really think, it was not your fault. Maybe you should go to a "Anwalt" (damn, i don´t know the word in english)

fight it.

because in german law, from what I heard....it can go 50/50 cause he was breaking the law by speeding...they can tell that by the damage from impact, where the initial impact was and where his car stopped at....At that point if they were saying its your fault, I would have asked for Polezi interaction.

Wish I could say I'm surprised, but I'm not. The drivers at Ramstein have to be the worst in the world, even worse than New Orleans. That's why I very seldom drive the SS to work. I don't want it beat up. Face it, Ramstein has a bunch of losers in more ways than one. I love Germany and enjoy my job, but Ramstein is by far the worst base I've ever seen. Nowhere else was even close. I'm in no hurry to leave Germany, but I'd be happy to leave Ramstein in the morning. In my opinion, they've gathered most of the idiots and the worst leaders they can find and put them in one place.
