Watching the race on ARD . It was pretty close action, If it was NASCAR Paffett would of hooked Eckstroem on the last lap for the win. From My perspective the Audi had Power on the Straight but just couldn't turn at all.
Wonder where I have seen that before. Well for his Eckstroem gets a cool trophy and a 100 kilgram paper weight for his car , or does DTW still weight trophies.

Yeah, what a race!!!
Actually Paffet's Mercedes is quicker, but Eckström ran a flat rear spoiler. That's why he was all over the place in the corners, but slightly faster down the straight. Since the end of the straight is the primary place for overtaking, Eckstöm had Paffet beaten on that one. Paffet was bloody lucky that he did not get a "drive-thru" penalty for crossing the white line.

Was that when Paffet was reentering the race from Pit Road?
BTW , What is this Audi A4 DTM edition they were raving about before the race? It didn't look to special to me.

Yes.
The A4 DTM is basically a S4, but minus the V8 (less weight over the front axle). It has a 2.0liter 4 cylinder direct-injection turbo motor, I think it makes 240 bhp. Expensive though for a 2.0liter 4-pot.

I still want to see a RS4 4.2L TDi DSG. One of those HAS to be running around as a test mule in IN. There has to be a place there at Audi Werk that has a "What if" area. Heard that there was a 6.0L RS6 around there with alot of trick Magnesium/Titanium parts on it.

When I went to Nordschleife last week there were a bunch of RS4's running the main track over and over again.

A Gallardo V10 fits in there. I'm not allowed to tell you how I know.

Stef what is the weight difference in the TDi and the benzin 4.2L? Is it the same block? if so then it should be a "bolt-in" swap right?

putting the engine in the trunk, storage space is over-rated.
