I just talked to LG Motorsports. They got a new C6 Z06 in today and put it on the Dyno. The 1st pull, bone stock with 53 miles on the clock was 443rwhp. If you figure 15% drivetrain loss, thats 521bhp. Torque was 411, which puts it at 483 flywheel. 8) looks like the LS7 is a bit underrated

Also, the brakes are a direct bolt on for a C5/C6 Vette 8). If i didn't already have Wilwoods on the way, and more pads were available for them, that would be a great deal for a big brake kit.

Great! :) C6 Z06 is available and still we have NOT seen a "normal" C6 running at Bitburg, I don't get this...

90% of Corvette owners are over-the-hill, mid-life crisis type guys who get the car to either relive their youth or show it off and brag without ever backing it up on the track. Of the 10% that are left, most of those think it's a straight line car

There were about 40 corvettes in a parking lot right outside of Bitburg last month with the owners standing around talking about wax and none on them wanted to run. That's why I don't bother with Corvette clubs.

Just wait til that thing is broken in w/ 3-5K miles. That number will jump to 460rwhp I bet. That's a sick number coming off the showroom w/ 53 on the odometer and being light as hell.

Can't wait to see one in person on the autobahn in Germany. 1st I'll admire it.......then I'll just have to show em' my tail lights. LOL! :D

The bad thing about dynos is that they differ, and most of them differ a great deal.
It came to my attention that especially in the US everybody seems to produce many ponies, however when it's time to show it off at for instance the track they cannot reproduce it resulting in dissapointing ET's.
Especially here in Europe i noticed that so called high HP applications that were dynoed in the US simply don't deliver in reallife.
Therefore i take these results with a grain of salt.

That is why the Z06 has an SAE - Triple Certified hp rating of 505hp.

Ok, so how come the LG motorsports dyno shows much more ?
Like i said, most dynoes are far too optimistic.
An optimistic dyno usually makes more money

I think I just saw a Car & Driver magazine w/ the Z06 as the lead article. The folks there ran a 11.2, 3 or 4 @ 125mph. I think those dyno numbers could be dead on.

As far as being over here and having a high hp car I think the elevation plays a factor for some. My car is a pig @ over 3700lbs and I've run a best of 12.3 @ 117mph w/ a 2.0 60ft on a street tire....and my dyno numbers sucked when I flogged it over here last yr. So who know's....?

we should be seeing some real world 1/4 mile times within the next few weeks, so those will probably tell a better story than the magazine times. If it really is underrated, it won't be the 1st time for a Corvette, they did that with several engine options back in the 60s so only the racers that new what they were doing would order them. Can't remember the engine names or year, but one was rated at something like 435hp and another was rated at 420hp, when it was actually closer to 500. All they did was stop reading the dyno before it got to the redline

The big problem with this car is that it's going to be to fast for T1 and to heavy for GT1 with the SCCA, so no one knows where to race it.
