What do you all think of these?
They at least look good.
Quote: Introducing the Nitto NT-01, the pinnacle of Nitto Tires technical excellence. The NT-01 is a D.O.T. approved* competition radial with an asymmetrical, non-directional tread pattern optimized for dry racing conditions. Beginning with a tread depth of 6/32nds", the NT-01 can be shaved to 4/32nds" to reveal a "slick" tread surface with two circumferential tread grooves. The NT-01 features a racing-inspired tread compound formulated for on-track performance to deliver extreme cornering power for fast and consistent track times.

I don't like them and feel that they don't work at all for Bitburg. I ram better times with the crap stock street tires. But that's just my opinion

Cool, so you actually have these.
They have a tread rating of 100 so I would imagine they would work well when dry out.

Those are ROAD RACE/DRIFT tires not drag tires and I am sure that they would not be good for drag racing. Also I would like to see these first had to see how good thay actually are on the side walls. I see too many people running RR slicks and not drag slicks and cannot figure out why they are not getting traction. The sidwalls are too stiff and makes them impracticle for drag racing. Every FWD car there except for the Opel had RR slicks instead of drag slicks.

Looks like it would be a great tire if there is a DOT tread wear limit of 100 imposed on the Koth event.

That's not really true. I had to run my BFG G-force KDWIIs for KoTH, there where some on slicks and I was able to take them down in the 1/4, R/C, & still took 3rd in Auto-X. I hear you, the racing tires make a WORLD of difference all things considered!!

this is the post that silverbullet was talking about I think
I have never used any of the other tires so it doesn't really mean anything to me but he liked them.

The bottom Line, you're giving up about a second to the 710s, but you can drive home with them.
Quote: There's a test of them in the new Grassroots motorsports on p.115. The autocross results were: Kumho 710 40.159 Avon Tech RA 40.282 Nitto NT01 41.149 Since the Nitto is streetable, I respected these results against full on race tires

That 1 second can seperate 1st -3rd & sometimes 1-4 places(happened to me, once in 1st and then 4th). It was tight this season, you had to be on your game and use everything to your advantage.

same here, I found a set of wheels on e-bay for $345. I'm thinking that the 710s will be faster for the 1st several runs, just hope it doesn't rain.

If we race in the same location(up the hill) and there is no standing water, I really think that the V710s will be just fine in the rain. The concrete is pretty rough up there....now the asphalt is a different story
