Nice car but the streets would tear it up. Get stuck on most street junctions. Also i believe that car is only legal England. Something with those EU rules i guess.

It's not quite in the spirit of "Production, Roadlegal" vehicle record. The Brits have the ability to register anything with 4 wheels and then come over here to act smart. Next thing McLaren will put a pair of plates on Kimi's car and go for 6 min flat....

It was registered for street use in UK ... no tellin' what it takes to have a car that is NOT street-legal in UK ... ;)

When I lived in that pit called England (that was a while ago) the requirements were simple:
If it looked like a car (4 wheels and a steering wheel) , has tread on the tires, lights work etc., then you could register it a "homebuilt-special" on a "Q" plate.
If you used both the front and rear axles from the same type of car (example Ford Scorpio), then you can register it as a Ford Scorpio on regular plates and pay Scorpio insurance rates, even though it now looks and go like a GT-40.

That's an Ultima, I was sitting in one about 1 1/2 months ago but I'm too large for those... :(

Roy:
Correct, the SR8 is not legal but the 200hp Radical SR3 is street-legal also here in Germany.

Stef:
You know that sofa-on-wheels with British plates? I saw it this year at the Ring. Unbelievable. It looked similar to this: http://www.poppyfields.net/poppy/photos ... rby/06.jpg

Speaking of which...I thought 27 Nov was the last date for the 'ring this year...but now I see dates all the way through December to include 3 & 10 December. Is this true?

That is true and acknowledged by a track official, however it depends on the weather. They won't open when there's snow or ice. *hoping for good weather in December* :)
