Makes you wonder what he was thinking ...

Heard on the news this morning. A guy is going to court in Frankfurt this morning, accused of excessive speeding. He was driving up to a police car that was going 200k at the time, flashing his high-beam. Police officers say he drove up so close they couldn't even see his headlights anymore.

OK, you say, bad luck, most likely they were in a regular car at the time.




Well, at the time, they were driving on the Autobahn with their blue lights turned on ... :shock: :roll: :lol: :hammer: :crazy:

Well, he got off easy (IMO) ... and some more details ... turns out he was driving a motorcycle at the time ... they said he even tried to point them over to the side (apart from the high beam). Anyway, he's been fined 1800€, and three months no driving either bike or car ... Btw, he pleaded "not guilty" ...

That almost sounds like the story of a friend about 8 years ago in Hamburg. He flashed the headlights at the police car at around 200 km on the bahn and tried to pass - of course got pulled over - and after checking his ID they found he is an emergency doctor (at the time in civilian car) and rushing to an accident nearby... so he ended up beeing escorted with blue lights.
Well, two month later he got the bill and had to pay 3500 DM. :wink:
