Not that I want to beat up on you GM but the fords cant seem to hang. Yes I will go over to AA/RR as soon as I get a 10 Sec run and for shitz and giggles you can drive it once on your course Val.

I would love to drop your motor in the Firechicken for the last event of the year I wish the Ford guys would come out and play too but it seems like that will NEVER happen. The only one I saw actually come out and give it a try ended up hitting a fence pole marked with a cone I do predict that you and Don will be the ones to beat in the 1/4mi this year....then again it has been that way since I've been here!!!!

WTF? From what I seen, the "Fords" keep beating on the F-Bodies every month, after every month.

Other than you (Hawk) I have not seen any other F-Body dominate crap. Ok, the X-RC course (but because the Fords have not attempted to take over).

The ONLY one since I have been going to Bitburg to stick out of you guys has been Bruce. Because other than that, they will not run or at least run Fords.

If the Fords dont go to the Xing/RC side may be those guys dont like that. Its like Baseball and Basketball, you need a ball for each one but does not means that I would like them both.

May be you guys are just utilizing that as an excuse. Just go hide at the X/RC because you will be killed at the drags.

Lastly, when was the last time that you ran a guy in the streets and you had to got thru cones and BS? All, 100% street smack, talk and bragging rights comes from light to light runs not in the parking lot, doing circles around eachothers.

You got beef against a Ford, bring it and line them up in the 1/4.

I have and I will line up with anybody ... I don't care if I lose, I do it for the fun ... sure, it's nicer if it's at least close (especially if my por ol' 'vert is the clear underdog), but hey, what am I going to do? I'm stuck with german TÃœV, and once I do too much to the motor (read: Just about anything), I'm f@cked on the next inspection ... so, all I'm left with is more or less what the General put into the car to start off with ...

still, my red F-Body will be there this year, and any chance I get I'm open for runs

Hm ... e.g. IIRC, Ben's Z28 has an M6, still he's in the top lineup just about every month ... sure, running an automatic makes it easier, but last I checked, the cars weren't launching automatically at the tree ... which is where you (usually) win or lose the race ...

So from that perspective, one could also say: Heads up is for girls, as all you have to do is punch the throttle and hope the money you put in your car makes it faster than the money that the opponent put into his/her car ...

But still - whatever race you prefer - it's supposed to be fun ... run the brackets, the heads up, AutoX - and have FUN!

What Im getting at is that Heads Up Drag Racing is for the $hit talking crowd.

If an individual is going to talk smack and then hide at the X/RC then its like instigating a fight and then running away when hell is about the break losse.

You run what you brung. Period.

If you want to "negotiate" what ever like: No Juice, or street tire or what ever. Then, that is diferent and legal on heads up.

I just dont like it when people just talk smack when its not justified.

Well, I can promise that I will participate in more bracket races THIS year than LAST year. Last year I ran in 2 events and made 1st place (bracket race and reaction time) in one of them.

Not afraid of anyone, Chevy, Ford, whatever... I WILL lose in heads up to you guys, as my only engine-related mod is the Borla exhaust. Anyway, apart from Bitburg, I'd love to see some Mustangs on the N'ring or H'ring track.

Heard a great quote the other day and I haven't heard it before. It showed the Ford emblem, you know the one with the blue background and it says Ford in an oval.... it said, "At least they circled the mistake" I loved it! How do they think of these things?

Fords beatin on Chevy @ Bitburg? When and where Naz. W/ the exception of you and Clay the other stangs never wanted to line up w/ anyone but their fellow stangs. Now I didn't go to a lot of events last yr so maybe that changed but I rarely saw Bowties and Ovals going at it. Not to say they were scared or underpowered but maybe they just had a preference and wanted to compare their car against other stangs of similiar mods.

Myself personally I've never been afraid to line up against anyone. I'm not racing my opponent but more or less trying to master that RT.

I can't speak for others but I don't bash nobodies product unless it's out of fun. I got love for anything one wheels and in particular american V8's.

You did not missed much....but you got a point. The guys (brand independet) may just want to run against similar vehicles so they could gauge thier rides.

I can understand and I respect that. But for the other 1/2 of smack talkers that never will line up is where I do have beef with.

I'm like you, I love ALL forms of motorsports but I do favorite drag racing. I dont discriminate against rice, catfish, firechickens, horse, or euro trash! They all taste the same: Like Chicken!

I can always appresiate a well build combo, not matter what its. But I do have a problem when I see the "Spider Man" Rice out ride in K-Town!

It's clear that your a 1/4mi guy and I'm sure that your good at it. I'm a AX/RR guy and suck at it but hey it's what I like. Brand loyatly.......I could really give a crap less as long as it will run and looks half way decent. It makes for a quick reaction....usually someone blowing a gasket and taking it personal. Run & hide at the AX/RC......ok if that is what it looks like. Every Bitburg event that I go to I run the 1/4 just to see what the car has in it and mainly to get up to the AX/RC. I don't care what I line up with as I'm just trying to race my slow POS. Sorry I have not come looking for you or other "brands" to prove a point it's not what I'm there for. I do it for the love of driving and the satisfaction of racing something that I built with my own 2 hands. If I offended you or others with the "Ford comment" & or the "Mustang pole comment"(was just stating what happened to the guy not bagging on him).....sorry didn't mean to piss in your wheaties but atleast it brought some life into the board here!!!! As for all the other things you talked about, it's nice to know that there is no way in hell I could beat your car on any level since I'm in the parking lot turning circles...and eating "chicken".
