I was wondering when I saw it, I remember he said his clutch went out but I thought it was down at spang. Dave I feel your pain man I know how much it sucks being down. Think of it this way though when you throw a new clutch in the car it makes it feel brand new again. Good luck on the car drop me a line on e-mail if you do need anything.

Jack I just read up on the fuel system for the LS1. It is a self bleeding system.
It was brought to my attention that you can tell real simply if it is the the pump by either using a screw driver or a stethoscope on the tank or fuel line and listen for the pump whirrr when cranking.

Undoubtably getting it stroked. Aafes is world renowned for there incrediable staff of ex generator mechanics that got out overseas. The master mechanic is a label they give to the only guy that can figure out how the garage door and lift works!

But, I cant be to hard on them, there were times that for some reason my fuel tank was loosing gas levels, so I stopped in, and sure enough they had some replacement gas for me.

Personally I think the Army should be vaccinating against Aafes instead of Anthrax.

You are right and pretty funny. I take it you had a bad experiance with them. I prefer the craft shop or Opel.

You know what AAFES satnds for right? Always Around F*****g Every Servicemember! I have heard too many bady things about the AAFES garage over at Spang. I have had bad experience with the Auto hobby shop here too. I had a (don't laugh) Geo Metro. I friend borrowed it. It had a new alternator belt. It started to slip and squeal. He took it the the Hobby shop. The sprayed break free on the belt. Well, it stopped squealing, but shredded the belt. All the excess rubbing was thrown into the alternator and fried it. Kind of sucked. Hence I will not take anything there for them to work on.
