Had to call back to states to get the status on my new project and Scott put the phone up and asked me how's does that sound? I'm like HU? It's loud I said. He's like well yeah it's loud........that's your engine spinning @ 7K! I was more than surprised to say the least. He then says let me bring it down so you can here it a little bit. Phones are hard to judge but it was cool nonetheless. :ok: He's done several pulls on it so far and it's put cloes to 480 flywheel hp that's still a little over 400 to the wheel! Pretty sure you guys are like "so what". :D Well that's a lot for this 3?? considering the cr and still using stk ported LT1 heads. After it's broke in it'll be tore down for inspection and then reassembled flogged a few more times and then ready to ship.

The hard part is next though. Keeping my fingers crossed that I can still run my Delteq w/ the XFI. If not I'll be going back to 1 coil for 8 cylinders.

Well john I finally had a chance to check the board and to my surprise (not) your at it again. I like the way you put a 3?? you'll have to e-mail me to let me know what it really is :) Just to let you know I didn't have much of a layover at ramstein it was pretty much just a quick stop. I did get to go outside and smoke for about ten minutes and from what i've seen that place is changing alot (construction) Well man everything here is going as good as it can and it's getting hot as a mother Fu##er. If you send me your phone number with the DSN 312-314 not sure anymore i'll give you a call later. Talk with you later Ryan

Dood! Sup Ryan? Man not to sound gay or nothing but you cross my mind a lot man. I wish you were still here. I'm glad to know you are doing well considering your circumstances. Just be safe man. I'll give Jess a shout sometime next wk. We are in the same boat actually. The Army took the wife for up to 15mos. No joke. Hopefully though she may be coming home in the coming wks but I haven't heard from her in the last day or two so I don't know but I sure hope so.

Not much goin on around here just waiting for the weather to act right. :)
The project is coming along nicely but I've got one remaining hickup I'm trying to avoid but we'll see what happens. I always act like I don't go cheap and skimp out on main things like the ECU being the #1 issue. Well this time I really didn't. PHUG mail order chip tunes. I bought a FAST XFI system and laptop w/ dual wideband O2's to get this thing right. Should've done that yrs ago and I wouldn't even be in this situation but 20/20 is hindsight.

I'll keep you posted.......... ;)

It is awesome to hear your motor running on the dyno. Good luck with the XFI. Bruce's car is in the shop right now getting super glued back together. :D

Don what did he do this time? Always something. Yes I was pretty happy to hear it. Nice to know it's already going to broke in for me and not having to worry about seating the rings myself. :) Still have to go easy the 1st 500 miles on the supporting cast though. ;)

It needs a Crank Angle Senor Error (CASE) relearn done. AAFES has GM Tech II but does not know how to do it. I am having his car towed to an Opel dealership in Ebern. I am praying they can do it. The car barely runs now.

The guys (Dietz?) in Ebern seem to know their $hit, i´ve been there 2 times already and also only heard good things about them.

Of course i don´t know if they ever had to cope with brucified/glue-cified cars

Well I got the final dyno pull. Mind you my 396 made this @ 11.5:1cr and this engine is 8.8:1 w/ LT1 heads. 529hp! He said the 1st pull actually netted 493hp and was the most ever from this configuration that he's done. I don't know how many he's built in the past but it sounds like there aren't that many but he was suprised himself as he told me generally not to expect no more than 450hp at the crank and now this thing is making 450 to the wheels 10rwhp+ more than my 396. :ok: :fruit:

Hopefully it'll be in possession this memorial day wkend.

That sounds like its going to be a nice ride. I can’t wait till I get back to the states for good in August because I am having my engine forged. I am also throwing in a M6. You talking about all your car stuff has got me jealous. Maybe if I am in Ramstein before I leave you can give me a ride in your monster. :)
