Not a rumor either. Sometime next yr all vehicles WILL be decimel tested! YIKES! So for all you screamers out there you better stock up on steel wool. I don't know what the limit will be but just the fact that it's happening is scary for some of us.

FYI

It's all about finding the right TÜV-place... or are you military guys stuck with one and cannot choose it yourself?

I'm sure James is going to chime in here...but if the sound chamber is not certified and if it's not within a certain specs i.e. walls this far apart...mete this far back...they can't say chit about how loud your car is.

I don't think they will start doing perfectly calibrated measurements, but will mainly use such a regulation to get excessively loud cars quitened down ... so, if you're one or two dB off, I don't think you have to worry ... unless you have a SoB there who hates his job and US cars ... :hammer:

Just tell them it came this way stock from the US.

Plus I am sure we will all eventually find someone friendly enough to ignore the DB test.

Well I guess that is one good reason for shipping back the T/A. In barrow county GA there is no emmissions test let alone sound test.....
