OK, current status ...
Just called the guy in K-Town who's repsonsible for renting the Sembach airfield/runway ... for the 7th, it's still free, but we will have to hurry up as the contract has to be signed (shouldn't be too much of a problem, got enough people down in the K-Town area, Mannheim isn't that far either) and the money paid ... only other thing that has me puzzled a bit is the price ... he said DM 0,50 per square meter - he can't mean it that way, at 45m wide a 400m stretch would run 9000,- ... I'm checking into that again ... I hope (and expect) it to be 0,50 per meter of runway ... we could then go ahead and get us maybe 500m (96m should be enough for our slow cars to slow down, right ? )at 250,- and get this going without getting in trouble with the police ...
Also, I'm still trying one thing here in Fulda ... still not much of a hope, but ...
Bruce, if you can, please try to get your security evaluation you prepared for Vielseck to me ASAP ...

Just got another "nice" reply from the guy in Fulda ... Fulda is definitely out ... so Sembach it is I guess ... I will give the K-Town guy another call later on (just tried, nobody there) and find out how we need to go on with the rental, exact price, etc. ... I'll ask for a 500m stretch (or should I go 600?) ... now the question - as the place isn't really too good for road course, I assume we will only be doing 1/8 timed, 1/4 grudge and AutoX ... one day should be enough for that, or?

With the relocation to Sembach, I just looked over the todo-list (which still needs a couple people to sign up for bringing stuff ...)
I guess we will not need a P/A system, if we set up similar to the PCA, all the people will be located in a rather small area ... except maybe for the drag race ...
Poles and marker tape should not be necessary, either ... also we should be able to cut down on the road signs ... a description should be sufficient, as people will not have to be navigated through town ...
Tickets for the drivers can be dropped, too ... we just assign numbers upon payment ...
Question is how much we want to charge ... with the slightly reduced program, I don't think we should go beyond 50,- ... maybe even a bit lower ... and probably no charges for spectators ... what do you think?

I agree on the 50dm. I wouldnt make spectators pay but if we want alot of people to show up, we should put out flyers maybe? Then it would get the club more publicity and possibly more members. Are you going to post another to do list or should I just refer to the old one?
I dont car what we do as long as we have that 1/4mi!

I also agree on the 50 DM, that's OK.

OK, just got ahold of the guy in K-Town ... I don't know how they calculate it, but the DM 0,50 is obviously for 30 square meters; I asked for a 500m piece, which will cost us DM 375,- ...
I'll be sending him a fax this afternoon with the information ... he won't be at the office the next two days, somebody will have to go down to the place either Thursday afternoon from 2pm, or Friday morning before 1pm ... get/sign the contract and take the money ... the place, Bundesvermögensamt, is located at Morlauterer Str. 21 in K-Town ...

How much extra is it for the 600m piece? I think that may be better, not all of us have porsche brakes!

I don't think they'll put up any walls to limit us to the 500 meters ... anyway, to get the price, just multiply the length by .75 ...
Another question I just received - what about food? This is place is a little bit outside, we probably won't have many locals to come and look, so we might need to do some BBQ ... anybody can bring a grill and food? Guess two to four slabs of ribs, a couple packs of hamburgers and stuff should do ... or we could just bring the grill and have people bring their own food ...
Also, we need to decide on the final price now ... I'd suggest spectators free (with a donations jar up ...), cars should be a max. of DM 50,- ...

Quote: we should put out flyers maybe? Then it would get the club more publicity and possibly more members. I have the flyers for Fulda which I can change ... no use putting them up around here, but the K-Town/Mannheim area might draw a couple people ... what formats would you guys require to print it out? I have them made in Photoshop, but can save as just about anything ... Quote: Are you going to post another to do list or should I just refer to the old one?
Just keep on filling out the old one ... I'll drop a couple of entries ...

It might have been me, but there is, I think an '00 black with a Borla. It's got the sports appearance package and no rear blackouts.
Anyway, I am up for whatever is going on. I will be there.

May sound like a stupid question (I am full of them). Do we need to sign up again, if we were signed up for Fulda?

Not really - all the sign-ups are still there ... also, it's just to get an idea of who all might be showing up ...

Not unless you have turned into a 6' black guy since the last time I have seen you I don't think it was you...... But it did have the Sports Apperance Package on it. I'll have to find him today.
