i was at rotenburg race days and destroid my 4L60E from my 1994 LT1 Trans Am. It was a hard sound and then i could drive only in the 1 and 2 gear. The 2nd gear makes also sometimes noise.
Who has a automatic transmission for me?
Jens

Check out PATC http://www.transmissioncenter.net/. I bought the Raptor Jr. for my 95 LT1 Camaro. It was reasonably priced and the shipping was even cheap. It comes with a new converter also.

i know this adress, but thank you for it.
But 2.000,- $ is much money, than it comes freight, tax and "mwst" on it. That is to much for me.
I will take the transmission out this week and then will see, what is defect.
When someone knows a good used transmission, please let me know.
Jens

i ask a few companies here in germany, what it cost, to repair my transmission. It is to much.
I think, the best is, to buy a new one from this transmissioncenter. But it is much cheaper, when i let send it to one of you here in germany. It is much cheaper freight and i don´t must pay tax.
Is anybody willing, to help me in that way?
Jens

Jens,
I have a Raptor 700-E Level 3 (4L60E) from transmissioncenter.net. I would not buy a trans from them again. My trans is not 2 years old and has less than 20 tkm on it. I didn't race with it much or anything and now at WOT it will not upshift till I'm taking my foot from the accelerator. Sure it is a cheap alternative because you will get a converter and trans cooler included but I would rather buy a rossler trans or a FLP trans to be on the safe side.
Thought I would share this with you before you're spending $2000 and more on this tranny.

i found a person near my home, who is willing to look into my transmission and maybe he can fix it.
When not, i will buy a new one. On LS1.com i read bad thinks about this transmissioncenter. So i will not buy from them, maybe from FLP.

so, the problem was the "overdrive". It was defect. Everything else in the transmission was very good, but we also changed the "clutches" and the "brakeband".

Sorry to hear that. Mine seemed to work fine but it was in a 95 Camaro. You may just need some tuning to fix it.

Don,
I changed the tranny fluid yesterday after only 12.000 mls and guess what I found inside of the oil pan? Lots of sand!!!??? No metall at the magnet whatsoever.
However, the tranny fluid was pretty dark. I also changed the speed sensor.
Well, now it is also not upshifting when driving half WOT. Normal street driving seems to shift properly.
I really wanna know where the sand is coming from? Any ideas?
Anyway, I talked to chuck at FLT and may go with his Level 4 tranny and a vig 3200 verter I think it has a 2.1 str. Should reduce my et's a bit more than my 2600 stall.
BTW, how is your tranny holding?

So, my trans am is back on the street. Everything works fine and i´m happy again.
@LS1 i can´t believe how sand should come into a transmission. Is it really sand or maybe something like (Sägemehl)? Sorry for the german word, i don´t know it in english language.

@ Jens
I couldn't believe it either when I looked to it. The GM mechanic who changed the tranny fluid was also surprised to see the sand. It is definitely not something like sawdust ( =Sägemehl). I took a picture with my cellphone camera but it is not so good quality. If you're interested I can send it to you via email.
Glad to hear your transam is running again
