I don't think that would be in the spirit of sportsmanship.

no ?

i think it will.
now people can prove (or not) what they are worth in equal circumstances

then people can't rely on the extra power or better roadhandling/braking their car has to mask mediocre driving skills

I'm all for go-karts. Like jeejee said, it levels the playing field and then the best man wins... (usually me)

Okay
I see what your saying Now. At a kart track.
Just as long as everyone steps on a scale . so we can give extra ballast for the light asses.

But I don't see it being included for this year.

we can do fastest lap time, just as we do with the dragrace and slalom and roadcoarse
It would allso avoid some old heavy guy (like last year) slowing everybody down and blocking them so he would not be passed himself.

So how did the old heavy guy get in front (to be able to block you)?

I seem to remember another "heavy a$$" catching up to those that where behind the other "heavy" guy. I'm all about the weight penalty for the lighter guys. Count me in for the go-karts......is there a beer penalty for the faster guys??

I seem to remember one of the "heavy" guys using all of that extra weight to move one of the "light" guys out of the way

Sorry ......let me be alittle clearer. What I meant was the fast ones on the karts have to drink more beer (after kart racing) the night before the final KoTH event. Maybe this will even out the field.

Roy; Can we get the KoTH rules posted in case there are any questions about lap times, tires, running order, and all that stuff. This way everybody sees it now and there should not be any mud sliging during or after the event. I know this will probably ruffle some feathers but better for everybody to know now than have a "protest" filed at the event.

OK, Rule #1: In the interest of fairness NO slicks, only street tires. Maybe we can allow the 4-cylinder cars on slicks, since they have a severe horsepower deficit.

well a corvairette pulls over 1 g in the skidpath with street tires.
mine does 0.85 (g-tech ) WITH slicks

0-60 yours in 5sec. ?
my ascona in 8.5 sec's (gtech.)

and let's not even discuss the braking.....
(i'd be very happy if i pull 8-9m/s/s the second time i hit the brakes)

so in theorie even WITH slicks i should never be able to win anything if everybody has the same driving capabilities
