... sometimes I guess you must be glad NOT to have driven it - especially when you had planed on taking the car, and ended up not to ...
I was down in Frankfurt today to do some work at our housing equipement ... coming back through the usual thick weekend traffic on A5 north, traffic backed up north of Giessen where the Autobahn goes from three to two lanes. Well visible from about a mile away, everybody slowing down. Pulled up to the end of the jam, already stationary for something like 5 seconds or so, some guy from Heidelberg trying to cut in from the left lane (I was in center) and possibly headed for the right lane ran into the rear end of my MR ... heck, I know it's small and low, but it's not THAT hard to see ...
Oh well, got the name and address and everything, putting it on the lift tomorrow to see whether there's any damage to anything except the bumper ... hope the frame didn't receive too much strain there, I figure he must have been going something like 5-10mi or so at the time ...

Oh well ... just the daily beater ...
Just got back from the shop ... guy there just took a look in the trunk, then called the "Gutachter" (?) ... bottom of the trunk to the rear has some cracks at the frame or something, some minor damage underneath ... wait and see what he comes up with ...

The other guy has to pay for it, so I wouldn't worry too much.
Still sucks, of course...

... and the worst thing: While the MR is being fixed, I'll be forced to drive the 'maro or Hawk to work ... what a pity ...
