If you bribe Roy with a meal at "Peters" he might allow slicks on the 4-cylinders, just to even things up a little bit.

In the wake of the latest competition adjustments issued by IMSA for the American Le Mans Series, Audi Motorsport has threatened to quit the ALMS unless "there are again stable and consistent rules," in the words of its director Wolfgang Ulrich.

"To us, the recent regulation changes made by IMSA appear to have been made at random and are unjustified," Ulrich stated.

The 100 DOT limit has always been there just never enforced, infact when we raced with PCA it was 80.

Keith for the record This isn't one lap of America and tis is not ALMS. We do have a tire rule .
Prior to your new tires you were uncompetitive, where as everybody else was neck and neck irregardless of tire. Now you got some serious sticky tires that for the most part blows everybody out of the water and does not meet the min treadwear requirement. So go out and purchase some min treadwear requirement tires and be a sportsman about it.
Just think if everybody ran the same tire as you, you would still be in the same uncompetitive boat. Rules are put into place for a reason. Your car should be kicking butt on min treadwear tires.

is this for the KOTH title only, or does this affect the rest of the AutoX/RR season too?
1. I can't get tires by this weekend.
2. I'm not going to spend $1,000 for tires to use for 1 event
3. If this has "Always been the rule" why were you planning to use Hoosier A6s at the beginning to they year?

Quote: I had plan on running A6 Hoosiers at the beginning of the season . But I knew it would deveastate everything out there. Plus I didn't want to bother with tires that much . So I stuck with a treadwear rating of 100. I am happy ,

Keith I can't say it any clearer than what you quoted me. I was planning was the key word. Devasting the competition was what I didn't want to do.
I am glad I got your attention now.
The Min tire tread rule is not for KOTH.
The main rule for KOTh is run what you brung and hope you brung enough.
The brand tire type that you start KOTH on is the brand tire type that you finish KOTH on.
Must show that it has been registerd for street driving.
