About the only thing I have on order that will help me here is my torque arm and maybe the shocks. The rest will help with the autox.
Good, put me at the end. That gives me time for some practice and get some pointers. Make it a little fairer race.

I thought you had some other stuff on order? I will hook you up with my friend at the race. He is my coach/mechanic and has a shop in Manheim where I will be tearing my car down this winter.

This whole thing sounds pretty damn cool, but where the hell is sembach? All the club events are right before I deploy somewhere or right before I come back. I know no one cares but I would really like to go. And I know if I go Rob would come with me for a chance to race my car eventhough it is not nearly as fast as some of ya'll. I would like to go, that is the weekend before I go to PLDC. It would be a good time I imagine. 50DM is more than worth the legal drag time. Are we going to try to come up with somekind of time slips. Or are we going with the old white shoe polish bit? Just a question. Anyway, anyone that could provide answers to my questions would be really helpful. I am all the way out here in BFE (Giebelstadt) ask anyone that is here it is in BFE.

Get off at Kaiserslautern Ost, and head towards Mainz. Follow the road all the way down, and you will see some green bunkers on the right. It's really easy.

Next year!!! I will raise the bar. I will not race for pink slips unless you will? Reason being you got to have a car to talk smack. However I will race you on a road coarse also to even things out.

Get on A3 towards Frankfurt, A67 towards Rüsselsheim at Mönchhofdreieck, then A60 towards Rüsselsheim Königstätte, and finally A63 ... this takes you directly to Sembach ... it'll be about 230km one way or 2 hours (maybe less depending on your driving style ... )

We'll have the timers there with 60' and 1/8 mile times and speed if I understood Tony correctly ... got to see how we do the printouts ...

Tres if you need anything at PLDC let me know and if you call me with your student # we could do lunch. I am 20 min away. It will prolly be white shoe polish this time. Tony is trying to work the cable for 1/4 times? 1/8 mile we can currently do. We will have it wired tight by spring.

If we're racing for pinks, are you also taking over payments too? ROFL .
On second thought I love my car too much. Autox, I stand a pretty good chance. I had a little practice out at Nurburgring this weekend. Then when I get the stuff I ordered in, I hopefully will do better.
I know I will do good. I want to do great!! Practice, right. I just haven't done much with drag racing. Only actually been out once and that was in my Datsun 260Z. I was running low 17's. It bogged off the line which didn't help. Incorrectly jetted carbs. Also didn't help everytime I was up, I was put against a Camaro or Firebird.
I will hopefully have some more stuff on order next month, but not before the 7th. Kind of sucks.

I did. I had a friend come out with his mod'd '65 Corvair. I was beating him. That made me feel good.

On the registration page, I currently have 13 people signed up in total, of which one is from the guys in Frankfurt which will probably show up with a couple cars ... I think some of the people here from FBE said they'd come but haven't signed up there ... I guess we we should have the cost covered either way ...

You might stand a good chance , but it is not from the Nurburgring . AUTOX and Hot laps on a roadcourse are two different things especially at the the green hell . That is one technical track to memorize. Autox most people drive about 8/10's of a cars capability . That is because the speeds are slower and if you do mess up, the consequence is cone punting.
On road courses most folks drive at about 5/10's of a cars capability. This is usually due to the higher speeds that are attainable and unfamilarity with the road course. If you mess up at the Nordshleife ,most people tag the guard rail. Like this Fellow did. http://fbodyeurope.org/gallery/8_m3rolover1.jpg.
All I can say Is take it easy and have fun. Because autoxing is extremely fun.
