Pigs fly, hell freezes over, the sky is falling, the end of the world is near...at this rate, Roy might even have a chance at beating me for KOTH

BREAKING! GM and Ford rumored alliance

Automotive News reported early this morning that senior executives within Ford and GM have explored the possibility of an alliance, even a merger, in the near future.

The supposed talks between the two Detroit titans began sometime in July, soon after Rick Wagoner and Carlos Ghosn began investigating the benefits of a GM/Renault/Nissan threesome. The sources cited by Automotive News have not been able to confirm who opened the door to the talks, with one insider saying that Wagoner was the instigator, while another source disputes that assertion. It is known that a possible merger was discussed between the General's CFO, Fritz Henderson and Don Leclair, Ford's own CFO sometime in August.

Keith are you trying to start some shat again

It would be interesting to see what comes of this. Kind of reminds me of the Cummins motor deal, ford owns Cummins but the motors are in the Dodges..win win deal for Ford.

NASCAR would not allow this. I hope anyway. What if it were 4.6's in our new Camaro with a 5 speed.

with the Car of Tomorrow, NASCAR might as well be a spec series. I'll put money on Ford pulling out of NASCAR within the next 5 years and developing a GT1 class race car with the Ford GT

I'll have a hard time next year watching NSCAR with Toyota fielding cars. That part of the reason I stopped watching the truck series......actually AFN had a hand in that too

Toyota in Nascar is a slap in the face.......for Toyota. Their nascar truck series engine is no overhead cam motor. It is basically designed after our inferior, American, pushrod motor. You can't move a 3500lb car without any torque.
