There's a guy over at firehawk.org who has documents on all produced Firehawks - maybe he has access to all SLP modified cars, so if you can get the VIN he may be able to check on it ... still, I think it's too expensive for the age ...

He's also selling a 69 firebird ... and 83grand F550

Also interesting, of all the positive ratings he got, only one is from a buyer ... could be a scam ...

Besides the auction being a fake, I wouldn't buy a high ticket item from him anyhow. I think it is a scam. Everything he bought was also very inexpensive to cheaply build up his positive feedback.

Aren't those also the wrong tailights for a 97? They look like 93 tails.

It's definitely a pre-98 body ... look at the headlights ... I put a question up on firehawk.org, and sent the guy a mail asking for the VIN and if it could be taken for a testdrive ... don't expect a positive answer ;)

did some searching on the web, this must be a modified car, there are NO mentions about ANY 97 SLP modified Camaros ... if there WERE 100+ cars produced in 97, you can bet there'd be at least SOME info on them ...

Like I said its a fake. The only production vehicles in 97 with a LS1 were the corvettes.

Guy just answered ... it's not even a 97 ... VIN is 2G1FP32P4T2165529, which is 1996 ... motor code of course states LT1 ... (at least it doesn't come up with a V6 ;) )

Surprise ... just got this reply from Dave Hamburger ...

Quote:
It's a real SS. 1996 number 2219. The original selling dealer was in Tampa Florida.

If it's got an LS1 now, that was done well after the fact - but the fact that he doesn't show any photo's of the engine is suspect that he may not know the difference between an LT1 and an LS1. The car has the optional exhaust, lubes, mats and car cover.

So at least it's not all fake ...

Well, the above info is from "Mr. SLP", so you can trust it ... told me the Build# on the 'Hawk from the VIN (which was correct) ... looks like he really has all the SLP documentation to each and every car ...
