As far as food I think we should sell it.... The spectators will want some food and drink. We need to bring a grill..... I have a gas grill, but no way to get it there.

OK, who's doing the cooking and bringing food, then? I guess if you guys can get a wife or two to come (though a grill is usually a man-thing :)) we can do that ... still have to bring enough food and drinks to sell, though ...

Chris... I don't know if I am going to go. I am having trouble with getting the ol' RT1 started, as we talked about. And I am going to have the parents here, and will be playing tour guide for them and their friends. I am goign to try and make it. I want that $100. Maybe the wife can take them downtown Wurzburg for that day or something. I will let you know. I want to go so bad though. Even just to watch.

RT1

OK, contract is signed, money is being transfered (Tony?), so let's get ready to rock ... :)
Hint: please take a look at the page /todo.php and see what you can bring ...

Slightly more than a week to go - we still haven't decided what we're going to do with the food - if we want to sell it ourselves, we will need to BUY food and have somebody there to FIX it ... so, what are we doing? I want to send out another mail to the subscribed people of the list (well, many are here I guess ...) and put the final information on the web site ... Also, there are quite a lot of things still open on the todo-list, namely the cones ... about this time next week, somebody will have to go up there and set up the course ...

Apart from the open issue of food for the event I was wondering how we are doing the 1/8 bracket scoring - I guess three tuning runs should be good ... and after that? How about something like this - three timed runs for each driver, of which the best run is used as qualification run ... the 16 best (assuming we get that many cars :)) then go head-to-head in bracket elimination?

Sounds good but we need to do the grudge run first and I think we will just mark the quarter and have someone by the finish line. We will have the 1/4 ready for next year but you are right on track with the qualifying.

OK, just put the final infos up on the web ... check it out ... I put a preliminary schedule on there, I hope it's somewhere close to what the times will be :) I'm sending out info mails, too ...
Btw, got a mail back from the First Mustang Club Germany - the guy I wrote to about two or three weeks ago was on leave, he forwarded the mail to their president now ... maybe we can get some horse meat to eat on the 7th :)

Still waiting on a couple of people saying "I'll do it" on the food-question ...

I guess we can and we probably need to ... I don't know to what extent we can get started around 9 or 10, but setting up the afternoon before will probably be a big plus ... setting it up will probably take a good 2 hours or so ... mark the spots on the ground (George, you got markers?) and then just put the cones back up the next morning ... George, if you call the Porsche guy about cones, can you ask if we can get in up there without any further notice to anybody? I don't know whether they have the place closed when nobody is there ... Depending on whether my friend is coming, I might be coming down there on Saturday already ...

I have chalk, but no markers... I talked to the porsche guy and he said they set up the night before. In the 5yrs that they have done it, they only had a problem 3 or 4 times and that was because someone else was using it. They just waited and set up. I am on duty all day Saturday, so I am out of the set up question. As far as the cones, email the guy you have been and see, but who has a truck that can be here Saturday?

Yes, I told a friend of mine about the meeting and he posted the flyer to the German Probe Board (probetalk.de). I think more than one Probe is coming but they have not yet registered...

Looks like they started to examine times for the F-bodies compared to probes and now they are looking to get F-bodies....:) The more people there the better....

I have those wax china marker pencils. They will mark the concrete and stand the rain. I can MPS some down to someone. Give me an address and I will drop them off tomorrow. They should be able to get there before saturday. It's a suggestion.
