Hm ... tried to get an LS2 once before ...
Is it totaled or can it be fixed? Hard to say from the pic ...

I think he's salivating over the possibility of owning an 06 GTO or an 08 G8.
The thing is that he owned an 04 GTO, sold it...then bought an 05 GTO...brought it to Germany and then this. So if this gets totalled he gets the rare opportunity of owning all 3 years.
I swear this is so odd to me because I've been deliberately putting myself in situations to wreck the GTO semi-unintentionally and collect insurance and yet save the engine...and part out the rest...and well luck has been on my side...or unluck as the perspective goes...anyhow and this happens to an immaculate car. Weird.

that is how it allways is, when you don't mind somebody wrecking it, it will last forever.
but the first week you drive your dreamcar some asshole will wreck it for you
from what year did the gto came with an ls2 ?
I propably dont have the cash for an extra engine anyhow, as today i wrecked (bent the pinionaxle) from my rearaxle on the commodore and those are quite rare
damn .. first i have to find a new one and then i have to build the limited slip in it again

Thinking about it further over the course the week and consulting with the guys @ ls1gto.com ...I need to call Jason and see what he says but what I'm thinking is that I'll just take his heads (253 casting) and his manual tranny and convert that to my GTO - Leaving his LS2 (with 251 casting heads) for him to sell and cover the costs of shipping another GTO to Germany.

If it helps your decision...there is an intake manifold for the LS2 that can convert it to run a carburator and produce 440hp...some of us could even help you with the procurment of aftermarket heads for the LS2...bumping that 440 figure further.

So we'll be seeing a 6.0 in your 04 GTO?
Any news on the DHL truck?

I don't think so...thinking about it really hard I think all I'm going to do is convert it to manual and throw the 253 heads from the LS2 on my GTO with the cam I have sitting in the basement. So that means I'll be selling the LS2 and my automatic...plus a wide assortment of parts.
