I knew that would get your attention, but it isn't what you are thinking.

I just got another smoker that I need supplies for. Where can I get good hardwood to smoke with? The base has bagged mesquite that is OK. I really want apple and hickory though.

For fruit wood check the orchards . Prunining should be done already.

For Buche(Beech) or Birke (Birch) check the bau mart or the Forst Meister or one of the local wood sellers. Hickory is not native to Germany but it is over here also.

Bau marts are the Hornbach, Pratiker and Toom stores you see. Just like Lowes and Home Depot.

Check by the Praktiker by the the Opel kreisel . There is a Forstamt close by . You will see the wood sign.
