Who's gottem.......

since I was unable to bring my TA over here I needed a new hobby and got into R/C's

I started with a HPI 2.5 Savage ...ran for ayear and just sold caue I got in to 1/18th's and electrics...

I currently own

1. Alex Racing Design...Japanese clasic chassis (1989) 1/10 on road.
2. PTI Rock Crawler....up for sale if anyone knows a buyer
3. two 1/18th MiniZilla's, one is stock that the wife runs, mine is modded
4. HPI Mirco RS4, lightly modded
5. Tamiya 1/10 Rising Storm 4wd EP Buggy

I use a Japanese spec M11 for all but the wifes 'Zilla.

I would like to find a good outdoor track if anyone knows of one.

I have 5 here and I don't use them. German law regulates the Feq's here and they are nothing like in the US. Like everything else in germany you have to have a license to operate it after attending a long class.

:wtf: You don't need a licence for R/C cars/planes/boats ... !? True about the US frequencies, of course, though I suspect if it's not the $10 junk from PX it should operate in similar ranges ... what kind of frequency crystals do you have?

Thoose things are cool I got one 2yrs ago 3,5hp and it rocks being a 4wd to you can spin all 4. But my stupid carb is still messed up since I got it. She is just not sucking fuel like she should. Probably will go to the shop with it and have them fix it or get a new carb for it.

I got slight problems with mine, too ... won't run decently unless the motor is at least hand-warm, and even after running a while it will stall pretty quickly ... :( Anybody got any experience who could help fix/tune it sometime in BIT?

P.S. - IIRC Silke picked up a bunch of small cones which would probably be a good thing to use to set up a AutoX-course scaled down 1:10 or something more fitting for the R/C cars :) :ok:

Cool, well I am just gonna take mine to the shop. Sounds like you have the same problem. First its to cold to start and wont even start for a long time and then when she gets warm oh boy she about rips on me. One day she was driving fine and all the sudden it just took of good thing I had the brake and the gas tank was nearly empty.

let me find the regulation. We have a flying club next door and they all told me the same thing you have to have a license on any R/C that use anything other than the cheapo cars. In the US you used to have a license as well for anything othere than 27,hz and 49mhz.

Licence!?!?!?!?

that would be hard to regulate.....flyboys, yea I can see a permit 'cause there is a fly club here on base and all they have are permits......unless your within a few yards the freq' wouldn't make nothing in the public messup...

I'm running a Japanese spec 27mhz channel 2.....Im looking into changing to 2.4G

any of the bases have a track? If need be I'll stay on base and drive on the tennis courts like I do here.

AFAIK the non-pro stuff that you can buy everywhere is licence-free ...

we follow host nation frequency rules, so if it's a problem off base, it's going to be a problem on base too.
