As I left a great weekend at Bitburg on B50, it was shattered by the sight of a "DONK" driving down the road. A lime green 96 Impalla SS on what looked like 30" chrome wheels. I was hoping that the inspection station would ban these over here.

I saw him too! He was right behind us as Andrew and I pulled out of Spang on the way home yesterday evening. Kinda Scary! But each to his own I guess...
Had a great time this weekend! Really glad we went!

In Germany? Are DONKs contagious?

Hope not LOL. I can't believe they're complaining about a loud exhaust and let those things run on the street.

... afraid you'll see more of'em. The young german tuner szene finds them "cool" and I've seen already some pics from trade shows here in Europe...
The down side is coming with the EU. If they are anywhere "TÜV'd" in an EU country, Germany is forced to allow them on the roads...
That is the reason why we get street legal karts and mini bikes and quads on the roads, which I believe do not belong on the 'bahn.... in an accident there is no chance of surviving, but younger people with little money see an option in this "cheap" sh!t, which I do not necessary mean the purchase price with, but the way it's built.
