Anyone else want to jump on this stroker group purchase I found on cz28.com? All the info is there under the forum group purchases and thread stroker gp. This package is for a completely balanced 383/396 assembly that is ALL FORGED and capable of handling 800+ HP. They have many options from just the rotating assymbly ($1975.00), all the way to a complete professionally built short block that is rock solid (about $3500.00 deppending on options you want). Trust me, this is a great deal. The company doing this GP is Nu-Tek Motorsports and the GP is a link on their site.

I will be getting a built 396 short block, high compression, with custom splayed 4 bolt mains.

There is also a GP for Airflow Research heads, but I am unsure of pricing as of yet.

Actually the guy from Nu-Tek said you can run no problem 11.6 or 11.7. As a matter of fact, Tony said 11.5 is about right on my friend. Don't hate me because i'll be faster than you.

Like we talked about before. I do not want to give away any of your secrets, but Naturally Aspirated = High Compression. Forced Induction = Low Compression........

Get 12:1! you can program to retard the timing enough to compensate for the shotty gas here in europe. When you get back to the states, re-program for the better gas to make prime power. If you are going NA your pistons should look like Mt.Everest.......

There is something wrong with my engine I'm going to embark on my project for this winter a little early. It's the same one I've been talking about only a little different. I will give a clue LT4/??? $*993& @#!@&%$. This is somthing I've been talking over with the wife and she agrees if your going to do lets do it right the first time. It's going to cost a little bit of money but I shouldn't have to mess with it for quit a while. I should be looking at 550 at the wheels with a great potential of being a lot more. I'm not saying this is a definate knowing how things always come up. I know we have the money for it I guess I need to spend really fast without her finding out.

Ryan...

If you want to do it yourself, they can customize to your needs. If you have a place to do the boring and clearancing. I can send you pics that Nick Norris sent me to show what needs clearancing.

The price is good and I plan on getting FFR stage II LT4 heads.

Oh, I forgot, it will be about 6 weeks for it to start so there is time to think about it. Did I mention that the rotating assymbly is completely balanced. Here is how it reads:

Cola Pro Series forged crank/ 3.75" or 3.875" stroke
Eagle H-beam rods/ 5.7" or 6" length
SRP pistons/ any compression ratio
Federal Mogul large chamfer race bearings
Speed Pro plasma moly rings (file fit or pre-gapped)
Balancing included
$1975.00

light weight crank add $175
ultra lightweight crank add $425
Substitute Callies crank add $350
Eagle 5.850" H-beam rods add $95

The obvious has been stated, but in case you doubt, go ask John what his CR is. Stroking raises the CR by design. It will easily be 11.2-12.x. Get used to buying octane booster. My setup with the thinner .029 gaskets is right at 11.2:1.

FWIW, I'm running 11.2:1 CR with 93 octane pump gas and having NO detonation problems at all.

Nick Norris, owner of Nu-Tek Motorsports told me people run 11.6-11.7 without problems. Any higher might on pump gas.

What ignition are you gonna run? Go with a complete kit that is matched or as close to it as possible. Kit being computer, head, cam ignition. You will have alot less problems and you can retard the cam a little if you have too. but low end torque will suffer. This is my opinion only and it is your money.

That is already planned and done. Tony said ALL previous items (cam, program, MSD digital 6). The heads will probably be AFR stage II LT4's. Tony will be at the race Sunday right? I talked to him a little about it and he seemed confident the custom program he ordered can be configured to this buildup. I am thinking of selling the nos and that custom cam though. At least until I can afford to blow my rearend.

By the way, I appreciate ALL opinions that are offered (god knows there are people on this board with a lot more knowledge than I). But this was an offer to see if anyone else is interested.
