Hey Roy, could you get in contact with him for me? Or could you possably give me a phone #? Do they speak english? 900DM seems like alot to put in some gears, unless he has the gears and I dont have to give him a set. Thanks fellas!

900dm is way to much, that is another reason I didnt do it. Especially since you will probably be getting the install kit as well, so they wont need shims or anything, If your T56 came with 3.42s you wouldnt need much besides gears.
I dont know what the dm rate is, but anything more than $175-$200 is high.

If you want just do it yourself. I redid my rearend about a year ago it's not hard. The hardest part is getting the right shims in there.

as long as the gear box is completly put together the only thing you have to do is take the old one out and put the new one in. Also change out the pinion gear that is connected to the drive shaft. And the only thing you have to do to get the right shim. Is try putting in the same combo you had on your old gear box back in. Slap some white out on there rotate it three or four times. Then see were the white mark is if it's not centered then your either to loose or to tight just adjust your shims left or right. If you do it yourself get the shim and bearing kit through jegs or somewhere else. It comes with 3or4 different size shims and you should be good to go. throw some gear oil and posi addative and your ready to roll. That's what I would do spend five hours and save $500.00 can't beat that.

isnt there a differance in carrier bearing between the 3.23 and the 3.42? To go to 4.10 you need a 3 series. But he is right, that is pretty much the procedure, I was just worried when I saw your dealing with tolerances between .07 and .03 on the backlash so I decided $180 was worth not burning up the gears, or haveing an air raid siren for a gear set. ;)

If I got the gear set it would be for a 3.23 and up carrier, cause thats what I have now. thats what it says in the Summit and Jegs catalog anyways.
