OK, here's more or less the final things we have to get done or need to get ...
- decent tent to set up in
- a couple radios or at least a couple flags
- a table or two
- if we're selling some food and drinks (Georg, who's getting the stuff?) we'll need some change ... btw, do they have a comissary or little grocery place up at the Sembach caserne? In case we run out of stuff on Sunday ...
- generator is covered I understand - I will bring my computer (should survive 110), does the generator have 2-3 power sockets?
- Dave is bringing a grill, but we may need a second ... and enough charcoals ...
- George is bringing his Laserprinter, so we will be able to print out results lists and stuff ... I'll bring a stack of paper (500pgs should be enough I guess)
Hm... that should more or less cover it ... I'm currently preparing the signup sheets with the liability release ...
For Saturday evening - is there a nice place somewhere close where we can eat at? Please some place that will allow me to bring the dog

Don't know how many sockets on the generator, but I can bring a power strip with 6 outlets on it.

Here's a paragraph I put on the signup sheets ... hope it's OK and covers anything we need (apart from the waiver on the reverse side):
While the airstrip used in the event is a relatively safe environment, beyond the paved runway there are holes and other things that may damage your car in the event of you running off the track. Therefore, be advised that even with all the competition, one of the major goal of Operation Street Legal is to play it safe! If you do not know the limits of your car or yourself, or even suspect you might reach them, slow down! Trying to win isn't really worth damage to your car or even your health!
The organizers reserve the right to refuse participation in or exclude from the event anybody who is or might be a danger to others or himself, either due to technical reasons (state of car) or conduct. Technical reasons are mainly, but not exclusively, cars not fulfilling O:SL technical requirements. Conduct reasons include not following orders from O:SL organizers, reckless driving or DUI
Final note: For security reasons, do not do any burnouts outside of the racetrack! Remember, unless you are running drag tires, burnouts will decrease your tires' performance.

If nobody minds i´d bring a few crates (as many as you can safely stuff in a FBody) of our local Oktoberfest special beer.
If anybody is against this proposal write a big NO.
I´ll happily swap for burgers´n´Millers

Tnx for offering ...
I know bavarians often see beer as basic nutrition, but I personally would be careful with having alcoholic beverages there ... If anybody really needs to drink beer, that's ok, but I would not want that "anybody" on the track afterwards ...

OK.
1. For afterwards and in reasonable quantities (dessert)
2. Yep, basic nutrition. Just like Schnitzel. Only liquid.
3. Hey, keep it as a souvenir and drink it at home.
4. This stuff is only brewed for this season, so i thought
it fits.
5. No offense meant.
Ouch, ouch, ouch ... don´t beat too hard....

It is ok to bring it, but any drivers consuming alcohol will NOT be racing. I would like to try the beer, but not in conjunction with racing. Did not mean to be hard, but I wanted to be clear.

Quote: I got 6 trophies today.
Great. That should do for our first event ...
For next year, we may need to think about what trophies we may also want, like "fastest 1/4 run", "best R/T" or so ... or maybe "worst unintentionally exceeded dial-in time"

Currently fixing the tables for Sunday ... please correct me - the winner of a race is the person with the smallest value for this formula: RT + (ET - Dial In) where RT has to be >= .500 and ET >= Dial In ... (manual correction necessary for the case both drivers break out)

Btw, is three tune runs and three qualification runs enough for the 1/8 ? I might run out of space otherwise (or use unreadable small font sizes)
What about AutoX - one trial three timed with one strike? (I know, depends on the number of cars)

Yes you are right on with it. Yes I agree about the tropies also however they are expensive. After this one we will have all winter to figure out the next one and learn from the mistakes made on this one!!! However I will be at the track by 1200-1300. Depending on traffic.

Normally you get 3 qualifing runs to get you dial in. No need for tune runs!!! you should already be tuned. Maybe we could use some Medium American flags for signaling they are everywhere.

I am not for sure on this but I can go down to my rec center and see what they have for tents. Do we need a tent or just somthing with overhead protection? Let me know.
I would only be able to get the biggest that will fit in my Z so I will see what I can do.

Hm ... speaking as somebody who has never done bracket races before and who is driving a 14.0 second stock V6 I doubt that more than a couple people there on Sunday will have ever drag raced their car ... much less than have an idea how fast they will be ...
I thought we would do something like: 3 tune runs, 3 qualification runs, and the best 16 or so then square off in head2head brackets ...
