Well, Bruce owes George about $150, and Bruce beat Jeff, so it was pretty interesting, and nobody walked anyone, it was close.....

Hey ... and gte this one ...
8.90 Index 10.40
0.617 R/T 0.671
2.588 60' 2.435
83.33 MPH 65.12
9.158 ET 10.511
Hey Bruce, how come my 60' is better than yours? No traction for those 300+ horses you have, even though your tires are down to slicks? Come to think of it - I beat all three oponents on the 60' ... WITHOUT lighting up my tires first
Yup, you got it - Bruce lost against my poor ol' 6cyl 193 HP 3700 pound 'vert ...
Next run was against a 351cui Mustang 4 minutes later, who red-lighted - would have had him either way, as he was .3 over his dial in and I had a .651 R/T with only .145 over ...
Sad thing was the next run against that Honda CRX ... beat him, but broke out by almost 0.05 ... fastest run during tune was a 10.44 ... had a 10.35something ... Had I won that, it would have been an automatic 3rd place ...
First run was close in the ET (though the other guys was sleeping) - he dialed in at 9.6 and ran 9.64 - my dialin was 10.4 and ran a 10.435 ... of course, he slept for .2 longer than I did
Oh well - fun none the less ...
Some 100+ pictures coming up some time tomorrow or so ...

Bruce.......running a 9.18 thats a 14sec slip.....good thing I wasnt there huh? So what did the rest of you big guns run?

Come on, first time racing with a tree ... can't count the poor excuse for a starting light they had in Bitburg ... Also, the .6xx were enough to beat Bruce, the 'stang and the other V8 F-Body ...

For the most part they raced each other during grudge. I think the were afraid of the LS1/LT1 cars. I beat up on some during the Auto-X though that really surprised them.

Yes Bruce you are the only LS1 to beat me, congrats. That is one mean running LS1 you have, I wouldnt get rid of it. I could tell you were happy cuz I seen that "He said POOP" eatin grin on your face twards the deep end. You were right, lots of those races were won on the launch, isnt that how George beat you? 4.10's and that track werent the best as I learned. When are we gonna do it again? My 60 ft was a hi 2.2 lol, I usually get low 1.9's.
What was the play by play action between Bruce and George?

with the trophies what were they for looks or performance. I can see why the 4cyl would only want to race there own kind.
I really hope I'll be back up and running before all of the events start again. After doing everything I'm going to do I should be looking at 11s easy. I hope everything stays together next year. The old saying is correct when it rains it poors.

I want to race you BEFORE your heads and cam! I wouldnt stand a chance otherwise.
This is why you have to incorporate your wife into your gearhead activity. This is they key to happy gear-head-dom, when you are married. It just so happens that I killed my clutch there at Sembach, and thanks to me telling my wife that she helped, I am able to order another one and get my tranny rebuilt. Unfortunaltley I will be forced to driving a Opel around for the next couple of weeks though....
If any of you married folk want detailed instructions on these types of things, e-mail me for detailed instructions on how to connive the missus for future gearhead purchases. lol;)

Jeff I will be going to the field next week. However there is alot of LS1 out there for you to beat up on and I am sure you could do it. Who else did you race? I bet you smoked that pick up with 383 and slicks? We will have grudge runs at all OSL events I like that event the best!!!

Yes, I hammered the lil' blue truck, I beat Randy,( I was a little worried about him cuz he has a lot done to that L-98!) I ran a red 4.6 mustang and pounded him also. What about you? who all did you race?
Yes we need to do away with the 1/8 mi junk! Thats for hippies. We need to have an event called "Grudge run 2001"! Strictly 1/4 mi, the times would be cool, but not nessasary. The grudge was the best, it was over too quick!

We will have 1/4 mile grudge with times next year we need to buy 4 more lasers? I raced the grocery getter chevelle that was to clear up some s#!+ talking I did in Nurenberg. He got stomped it was a BB 454!!! the blue pick up got his feeling hurt beat him by 2 cars@ the 1/8th. The yellow 351 mustang got annialated and the silver z-28 with SS hood I pulled on him at the far end. And the red z with chrome oz wheels got his a$$ handed to him 10 car lengths. I was beat by a couple feet by George he cut a .533 RT to my .729. I was catching him though. During ET I gave Gary almost 2 seconds and had bad traction past the 60ft and blew by apparently just past the finish also within ft I could not tell who won but the laser informed me of a loss. all in all I should have taken my own advice and been on the lights a little quicker. However I had a blast!!!
