Like I said I bought my car running like a POS with 114,000 miles and I had to fix alot of stuff. 2 Things I haven't fixed were
A. The ABS light is always on and my brakes will lock up when I get down on em (meaning ABS dont work)
B. The cruise control wont work
The primary reason why I haven't fixed these yet is because I dont know how lol. I put the Snap On scanner in my LPT.. no wait thats a printer lol my umm damnit that port under the dashboard port! lol and it had a list of 99 ABS trouble codes they all said this LF LR RR RF Abs sensors short to ground or short to 12v and the codes were appearing repeatedly over and over.... Does any1 know why the computer would be recording this and why my ABS dont work from these clues....
Also my cruise control just dont do anything.. Is that a common thing to break on these cars. What are the most common reasons it would break.

I know what the problem is, I had the same thing happen to me! More than likely your third eye level brake light (in the spoiler) has a failed bulb. For some reason there is nothing in the user manual about that. I think its GM's way of getting you into the dealership

Jack, you are from the FLA? I thought that Mike was the only other one around, and now he is gone. I thought Tally was part of Alabama anyway.

Jr,
No i dont work there, i just found this board thru google.
badazzlt1USA,
I dont know why but, my abs light stayed on all the time and my cruise control did not work either. I looked thru the service manual and could not find anything on this. A while later i noticed my third eye level brake light (in the rear wing) was not working. I repaced the bulbs and to my amazement the abs lamp went out. Then I tried using my cruise control and it also worked. for some reason GM never documented this in there owners manual. The only thing i can see in common is they all have to do with the brakes, cruise control module monitors the brake lamps to see when to shut off, ABS monitors brake lamps to know when to engage. I am pretty sure if you replace your third eye level brake lamps both of your problems will go away.
Let me know if that works out for you!
c-ya

wow 95whiteTAflorida I could just kiss.......that big titted chick in your picture lol.
I looked in my 3rd brake light and the 2 bulbs were BLACK I put two new 1's in and put the tailight together. WALLA!!!!
The ABS INOP Light is gone! I didnt get to test drive it to see if the cruise control works and I wasn't gonna fool with it will the car was on a trailer just in case lol.
But wednesday ill drive it to Houston Raceway park and on the way test the cruise control and ABS... Finally I wont have to guzzle so much gas......I hope
Man this has got to be the querest thing to ever happen to a car... If i took it to a garage.....(which I would never ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif) ) It woulda cost a fortune to fix that. Not $1.50
