gonna get my shocks/springs put in soon. Now here is the dilema. I have Eibach drag, and pro kit. I was thinking about putting the pro-kit springs up front and the drag in the rear, or drag in the rear and keep the stock springs up front. The shocks are Hal 12 ways so I can adjust the rake of the vehicle.

What would you do. I want a drag friendly launch, but when I want to go twisting, I want handling.

Thanx
Rob

sounds like you want it all. run it loose at the drags and tighten them down on the road I would start with the drag spring.

Rob your stock front springs don't have what it takes in the handling department.

The Pros on the front will pretty much do you for corner carving but will suffer for launch, one way to compensate is to run a soft rear spring with a shock that has adjustable rebound . If you still have the stock sway bars bars, there is room for improvement there . The 1LE bars are a good set of bars that will keep you happy till you out grow them plus there cheap. Another good set is the ADDCO 32mm solid and the 1le 21mm solid.

Also stuff that air bag in the right rear spring and air it up so it can counter act the right side of the axle from stuffing it self up in the wheel well when launching.

You can also raise the torque arm at the tranny to as high as it will go , you may have to do some grinding and bushing cutting to raise it though. But you will notice a big difference. Also since Fbodies come with a 3pt rear suspension. It is best that everything is basically on the same angle.

Ican't help you on your shocks since you have the Hal's already.
About the biggest thing that will help you for some corner carving is a good alignment
Start off with as much camber as possible, any where between -.5 to -1.5 will suffice . If you are lowered in the front the -.1 should be attainable.
Caster , get as much as you can , you probably can't get more than about +4.5 but see what you can get.
Everything thing else set to factory specs. If find time try adjusting your corner weights from left to right and cross corner.
RUN THE STICKIEST TIRES THAT YOU CAN AFFORD.

This will keep you busy for awhile and it won't break the pocket too bad.

Already have the full Hotchkis kit, just trying to optimize the spring/shock combo. Probally just gonna put the drag springs on and run with it.

Try the 93-97 V-6 springs in the rear Rob. I havent tried mine out yet but I paid only like $30 for mine. I hear they work well.

been thinking about the V6 springs also.

BTW, there was a snafu on the heads, and I had to resend them. Cost $57 so they had better get there this time :)!
