Alright here is a couple more things to confuse the masses

The acronym DIN . In english means German Institute of Standards. This is the Standardsbthat is used by all of Europe. So when you see 288PS (HP)DIN . It was acomplished under strict control measures.

Now to answer BHP(BPS) . Guaranteed it is that 288HP(PS) is taken off the Flywheel with full accesories.

Also there HP SAE (Society of automotive Engineers) This is the American Istitute of Standards. Since the testing methods differ slightly between the two . You will have slightly different readings.

For Euro V8 LS's the major horse power reduction is caused by the v6 muffler system that is installed to meet the noise polution laws of the EU.

Anthing else

Oh yeah what is exactly a "Limey"?
