OK. I've done the exhaust and the FIPK is now complete and sitting there waiting to be fitted. I was just going to order the LCA's, torque arm and adjustable panhard bar plus a set of uprated sway bars.....but I went to a show and there was a 2000 Torch Red C5 with all the toys and the HUD, owned by some guy who never really uses it. It has 4500 miles on it, full service history and it's gorgeous. He wants £26500 for it which is about 9k less than a new one. I can remortgage my house and pull a little equity out to buy this sucker even though it means I struggle with only 2 seats (so a lot more looking uncool using the girlfriend's Astra when it's a 3 person day out)and I'm not entirely convinced it would be used as much as it should and perhaps I just want a fire engine red Corvette on my drive. Yeah, I know it's probably no faster than an F-body but you only have to look at it to know it's gonna fly round corners on those 18 inch rims. Well, what would you do? I've considered giving the Camaro to my girlfriend but it's probably not that practical.LOL. She does want it though....(the car, you perverts).
Anyone know if there are differences between the 2000 Corvette injectors and the later models like in the F-body?

After hearing the exhaust tone on your Z28, who needs to change it.
Spend the money on the Z28 and other things (e.g. the girlfriend - who knows what surprise you might get then!!!!)

What, you think she might adjust my Panhard Bar? or were you thinking she'd buy me some LCA's. LOL. Ah, perhaps I'll keep it or buy a 2001.

Ian, I'll be at the Mopar Nats hopefully (subject to child care duties..) and I'll be at Santa Pod on 14th July for the Street Machine Street Racer Sunday to see what this FIPK will do and to humiliate some boy racers. It's not just having the car to do it, I do enjoy telling them what I paid for it after it crushes their mega-buck GTi's.
I've decided against the Vette, I really do need that 3rd seat....but give it a couple of years and it will be on my drive!

Ian
Sorry, I'm busy most weekends from now 'til the end of August. Hope to make a visit or two South around that time. I'll give you a shout when we are down that way.
Know what you mean about the thinking man's car - I think!!!!
Once the bug has bitten, you just keep think how to make it better.
Can't wait for the suspension to be done, not long now.

Ian, what day are you going to the Mopars as I'm probably going on the Sunday. I may go for the weekend but unlikely.

Flash your converter on the second to the last amber and let the brake off as soon as you see the last amber come on. Reward you will cut alot of time off your run.

Woah, sounds great, can't wait now...
Hawk, when you say flash your converter, you mean what?
Ian, don't forget your driving licence and your helmet (required for cars with 100+ finish line speeds).
