I have the Corsa and it ROCKS.. It is quiet at idle and cruise, but at WOT it really sounds awesome!

I went to Billing, the big UK American show here on the 15th/16th June. Every 4th gen owner wanted to hear my exhaust and every one of them was dissatisfied with their own systems after hearing it, whether it be Corsas, Borlas or whatever. One guy had just spent £350 on the US dual outlet system and is going off to replace it staright away!

I thinking really hard about the Flowmaster "American Thunder, has any body heard it? it's a 2 chamber muffler. I have one on the wifes Dodge4x4 with 3in pipes through 3 1/2 tips sound great to me, but every car sounds different. Summit Racing has it for $299 cat back. What do you think?

I have a Flowmaster 80's Series muffler (which is the muffler of the American Thunder kit including modified pipes) on my Z28. Sounds great. Not too agressive at low rpm/throttle. Deep full V8 sound.

Mazer,
I finally bought the 80 series Flowmaster. I'm really pleased with the sound!!

Everybody I talked to said that I would not notice any difference between stock and the Flowmaster. Wrong! There is a difference, it(power)comes on stronger from 2000- 4500 RPMs and is still quite enough to keep my neighbors happy. It does have a nice rumble but won't make your ears ring after hours of driving

You cant go wrong with the 80's flow or the AT catback. I had it for my first cat back, then I just HAD to have the Borla. I still have the borla, cept now its in the storage shed and a American Thunder is back on.

With the Long tubes, off road pipes I can really rock the block if I chose and have a nice rumble at idle.

Anybody who says you can't tell between the flowmaster and stock knows nothing.. :) There is a huge difference.

JackZ28,
You got that right, just ask my tires, they keep finding that fact out the hard way!!! What do you think aout a set of FLP LT headers and cats with the flowmaster?? I think that's the direction I'm going to go with it.

Let's put it this way: I have the TPIS longtubes, and normally the Corsa is a moderate exhaust, but WOT is freakin' crazy with this combo. I'd like to see what it's like with a cam, but at the rate things are going, that might never happen. Flowmasters would be that much worse..
