I will run it thru with the winter tires on so it will appear a bit more subtle. Wish me luck.

Good luck. We'd hate to see that car turn into a racing trailer queen...

I had to take mine in awhile back. Trouble is that they have clowns in the inspection place that dont know a muffler from a air filter. These guys here in Darmstadt failed me for having relocation brackets welded on my axle, 1 foglight out, and missing muffler?! I blew up on the muffler issue. I told them that not one f-body came from the factory since 81 that I know of with two mufflers. So I just fixed the fog light and ran it through in Mainz and passed with flying colors.

Good luck,
Jeff

I thought I was gonna have noise issues at Kapaun, but the old bastard was pretty cool. He didn't even say anything about it. I think he just wanted to drive it. :)

Hallo Hawk,
I think I need some lessons in Fbody suspension upgrading:
Do you have some pics of the underbelly of your car?
I have seen SFCs in catalogues but do not have a clue where they are mounted.
In the German forum there is some discussion about SFC, STB, PH and Sway bars and I am not sure what all this is:
SFC- subframe connectors
STB- Stabilizer??
PH- Panhard?
Sway bars? No idea!

If you could send me some pics or links I would be grateful.
Thanx!
Gunnar

Strut Tower Brace - Domstreben in German (I think) - don't have any of them yet - Tony was supposed to order them about a year (or year and a half) ago ...

That's a pic of my rear underneath ... the silver piece at the differential is the rear sway bar (21mm BMR), the other silver bar is the pan hard rod (adjustable in my case). Here's a pic of the front of my car, again, the silver thing is the sway bar (34mm BMR)

Wow Garry that was quick!!!
I also had a quick look under my car, because its just next door.
The sway bars in front and rear I also got, but only stock.
In German its called Stabilisator.
The Panhard I also got, but you guessed it: stock.
So, you did not show me anything in addition to strengthen the car body!
What is your Panhard able to do what the stock PH cannot do?

STB=Domstrebe thats true. Opinions are divided: I heard of cracked windscreens because of STBs.

Show me a pic of installed SFCs and I will be happy for today!
Thanx for your efforts, Garry! You are a Real nice guy!
Gunnar

The STB is the shock tower brace. Several companies make them. They mount on the top of the shock absorber tower to stabilize the front end. I posted a picture of mine about a month ago. It isn't installed yet. As far as cracking the windscreen, the only problems I have heard of is with the ones that bolt to the cowl under the windscreen. The only ones I know of that bolt there are the Edelbrock, but there may be others. I know the SLP, BMR, and Hotchkiss ones don't. I got the Hotchkiss. I will post a picture when I get it installed.

I think BMR has three-point STBs, too ...
