Silas,
Found out that the new KDW2s do not come in our size(275/40/17) yet. If you go to Tirerack and look up tire brands look under BFG then KDW2 and "BANG" there it is! I went ahead and ordered 2 more KDWs for $189 from Sumit Racing should be here in a week. Also recieved an e-mail from Baer yesterday and they said that all I need to do is replace the outer rotor, so of course I asked if I could buy from them and how much it'll be. Just found out the outer rotors are $137 a piece and the tool to take them off is $3. After shipping looking at $300. I think I'm going to upgrade to the G-Stop kit for $650. What do you think??
As for the wheels, 3 of mine are powder coated and 1 is not. I can't wait to get my tires and put them on the car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :ok: Did you ever check with LOU to see if he had any more rims, he gave me a deal a $125 a piece and he shipped them :D .
Val

Man I sent Lou a email he said he'd get back w/ me on another set he had w/ pics....and never did. So I never bothered to email him back. I'll just get me something else. I'm looking at some Forgeline's now but don't know if I want to shell out the 2400 for it. Probably just go the cheap route and buy some 10 spoke SS rims and slap some Nitto's IIR's for the track.

189 is that free shipping? Man I never seen a tire that cheap in a 17! IF that's the case I'd buy another set and get rid of the ones I have on the rims now.

I'd also just upgrade to LG's brake esp for that price.

Last spring my wife bought 4 Kumho ECSTA Supra 712 for 420 euro, installed. I believe the name of the place was Reifen Mueller. The tire is available at http://www.discounttiredirect.com for $125 ea with free shipping. The size was 275/40/17. These tires are good in the rain but they can't compare to BFGs on dry. They do spin alot on cold pavement until warmed up, and don't think about driving in the snow. These tires are about the same performancewise as the SZ50s, just cheaper. Don't know what the treadwear is like yet, only put 2k on them with no signs of wear, at least not on the front ones! I have yet to see a decent Goodyear other than the F1s, the rest were like hockey pucks.

Sorry to hear that Lou didn't respond back. You know that since X-mas he's gone through 2 different guys that do all of his phone service and shop stuff. I talked w/him last and he's doing it all himself. I guess I'm making excuses for him since he's done me right on everything so far! You otta try him one more time see what happens.
The shipping on the tires is roughly $25 but that is still cheaper than anyplace else I've found. I love them, they stick like GLUE and wear Great so far.
Wife has left me with no choice but to upgrade to the G-Stop kit. Guess I'm pretty lucky to have a wife that wants me to have the GOOD stuff :ok: !!!!!
Check your e-mail I sent you pics of the KDWs I have.

SSZ28,
Did you happen to see the prices of the KDWs?? Kumho makes a decent tire too. Do they hook pretty good on dry surfare and through cornors??

Tire rack wants $193 ea w/o shipping, discount tire has the KDWS for $160 w/free shipping and $280 for the KD. Didn't see the KDWs. They do have Nittos for around $160 w/free shipping. The Kumho are OK after they are warmed up. If the pavement is cold, you will spin. They work good last summer, these were the tires I had on when I blew out my rearend! These are not as good as the BFGs on dry, but I use other tires at the track and I couldn't go wrong at this price for a good rain tire, just avoid the snow!!!
p.s. The Kumhos leave dual tracks per tire, looks kinda cool as you're resurfacing the streets!

SSZ28,
The price on the KDs doesn't surprise me, they are pricey. The KDWS's are ok, haven't to many good things on them. The KDW's I've been impressed with, the water traction really impressed me  . I'm still debating between Nitto's and Kumho Victor 700's for the track :? . Tax return is coming soon so I've got to make a decision quick.

Is there anybody running wheel spacers on the front of their hot rod? I ask because the LGM G-Stop brake upgrade will require a 3/4 in spacer up front in order to run the G-2 wheels that I've already bought. The stock WS6 wheels will not require the spacer. I have already installed APR wheel studs at all 4 cornors. I wanting to know if it effects the car in any way???

Val I have spacer on the front and rear. of my car . It just gave me a wider track . Only downside is that it will reduce your spring rate at the wheel (wheel rate) slightly.

Roy,
That's right, I forgot that you had them at all 4 cornors. How thick are your fronts?? LGM said I'd have to run 3/4in spacers with his wheels. Have you had any problems with the lugs coming lose or anything of that nature??

Holy crap that is a big fat spacer. That spacer will have to be hubcentric anyways but 3/4 inch. You are gonna want some Tuev approve spacers.
H&R Sport spring make some excellent ones. Not cheap though.

Roy,
I sent you pics of the rotors to your e-mail. It's even worse in daylight . Pics really don't show that well.
As for the spacers they will only have to be used with the G-2 wheels which will have the "track tires". As for the regular WS6 wheels he said they would fit with no problem. He has the spacers and is going to put them in with the brake kit. Once I get them I would like you to look at them and tell me what you think. Now I'm really glad I put the long APR wheel studs on!

Roy,
I'll try again this evening from the house, that is where the pics are at. The cracks are getting worse. I've been really taking it easy on them.
Silas,
Did you get the pics I sent you?? I'm not sure if that's what you wanted to see.
Val

stik6shift98,
I have them on my 01 TA. I really like them but I'm really hard on them. They are 2 piece and the outter rotor can be replaced. They(BAER) told me $137 each and the tool was $3. If your interested I'll sell you mine but the outer rotors have to be replaced. New ones run around $500 depending on where you buy them.

Silas,
Just talked to Louis at LG Motorsports and he has rims left . I told him that you where trying to get ahold of him for a set, and he said that he got your e-mail but has n't had time to check the rims and get back to you. He did tell me that he would check the rims today and asked me to get ahold of you to let you know. He wants you to e-mail him and he'll get you taken care of!!

Silas.
Just glad to hear that yougot ahold of him finally. Hopefully he gets you a good set! Mine where just fine. Should be getting my G-Stop brake kit this week, hopefully I'll get it on before this coming weekend. I'm hoping it makes a difference!! Also found out about LGs new clutch(flywheel, clutch, presureplate, throughout bearing) that is coming out soon, it's 20lbs lighter than stock and is designed for high horsepower. Louis said they have a few out there for testing and they have had GREAT results. Looks like I'll hold off on a new clutch until they release it to the public.
