Please post some pics as I'm about to buy some new wheels and can't decide between the "sensible" set of 17 x 8.5" set of thin-spoke C5 replicas or just going the whole hog and having these 18" Z06 wheels.
I've also been looking at Powerstop grooved rotors which have a cosmetic advantage of being cadmium plated but there is also a Brembo option which may be better but will also presumably have that surface rust finish.
Anyone know the relative weights of the wheels?
Has anyone worked out the respective rolling radii so far as the speedo reading is concerned?

I've tries several sets on my car. I ended up with Pirelli P7000 SS 245/50-16 ZR. I love them. Will be my next set too.
http://www.tirerack.com has tires of all sorts, decend prices, decent shipping rates, apo shipping, and has tire rating and comments.

Thin spoke 18" rims yum yum. I love them and you have got to get them on that back stripey thingy.

Do you have 275's all round and if so, what is the steering like?
Does it affect the speedo reading?

Yes I have 275x35xZR18 all the way around. The steering is great. Sometimes I think the fronts rub a little, but only when I turn hard. However I think that has nothing to do with the tires size, as I think its the new A-Arms because my stock tires did the same thing and they were 275x40XZR17. If you want I can send some pics of the wheels to your email. Just let me know. I am not sure if it affects the speedo reading. I have a new Speedometer from Granitelli (the 200mph/320km) so I have not had it adjusted to my car (but it seems to be pretty acurate as I have not gotten any tickets from the German Photo cameras and I do exactly the speed limit to test the speed accuracy).

Yep, send me a photo as I'm still stuck between Z06 and C5. Can't wait!

Ok, pics were sent, hope you like them. They arnt the best pics I ever took of my car, but it will give you a general idea what they look like. They are great wheels, if you dont mind cleaning them every few days.
