I just bought a Predator programmer. I would be happy to let anyone use it for free. You would have to come to Spang-area mid Nov. though. I won't be back until then. GM High Perf. did an article on it and they got 10 rwhp with the push of a button. They got another 6 rwhp with some tweaking. It can also reset and read OBD 2 codes. Sounds pretty handy. Anyway, anytime after Nov.

Sorry to say it is set up for the LS1. It should still be able to read the OBD 2 codes though.

Finally got the thing. Adjusted the speedo of my new wheels and put in the "performance" program. Seemed to help the midrange power.

Wow, it took that long? Oh well, I'm sure you're happy with it. Does it allow you to change the temperature at which the fans come on?

Looking at the Predator, I've noticed that it only supports 99-02 LS1s... Is that true?

The one I got is supposed to be for all LS1's. I don't know if 1998's had something diffrent with the emission/engine programming that would make enough of a difference that you couldn't use it. You could always ask the Diablo, but those guys told the company I ordered it form that the zip code 09123 "didn't exsist". Really. So all my other mail just shows up by magic? I guess that explains the long wait.

I seem to recall being excluded from the 99-02 club on that front... something to do with differences in the computer.

Sorry for the late chime in(over a month ) goaliedave40, I just picked one up before I left too. I put in a 160 stat and my 9in. The diablo tuner worked flawlessly!! I have a sheet at the house I had to use for the settings for the fans and the rim/tire size to change the speedo reading (due to the gear change)(there is problem with the programer when it comes to changing the "gear ratio". that is why I used the rim/tire size. Diablo is supposed to change it with the new version coming soon).
As for midrange power, it has changed, but I also put in a new clutch w/alum flywheel and the 9in w/3/;89 gears so I didn't get to feel the change just from the program itself. Nice part is when you do mods (cam headers etc) you can get a custom tune for it through e-mail along with all the latest updates. Not too bad for the price if you ask me.
