hi guys
i want to import aftermarket american parts for my GTA as prices here in the uk are very expensive compared to the US.
Is there any way i can import parts without paying heavy duty or delivery charges this side of customs and excise.
last year i ordered a holley 650 dp and it ended up costing me more due to the company in the US using ups to deliver it to my door.
i thought i had payed all the costs for shipping on my credit card then had a surprise when the UPS guy turned up at my door requesting another £70 for this side of customs charges.....
Any help would be apprieciated....

Unless you were an american on duty over here in Germany, I'm afraid you won't have to good a chance to get around customs ... I think the limits (at least here in Germany) are 100€ for private sales/gifts, and 50€ (or was it 25€?) for orders from commercial places ... customs in Germany for US deliveries is 19% IIRC ... you could check and see if you pick up the parts you need somewhere in Europe, as EU doesn't have any taxes for intra-EU sales ...
