How does a '92 RS for $3800 sound? 5.0, five speed, ac, pw, nice paint, t-tops, nice Kenwood stereo. Overall great shape. How much power does a 5.0 RS make? Is that a TPI? I don't know much about 3rd Gen as you can tell. Just want to know if it's a good deal or not.

I dont know the NADA on a 92, but if it was in good condition, then yes, I would say it was.
You probably already know about the T-5 trannies dubious reputation, and the unavoidable squeaks from the T-tops plus the 305TPI is not the stoutest of motors, nor is it very cost effective to modify it. But like every camaro before it and after it. Any other SBC will fit nicely between the fenders, like say a L98 or ZZ4
Personally I would try to find a 350, but, the RS is a very nice looking car.

A 92 RS came with either a 3.1 V6 or 5.0 V8. ALL RS's came with TBI not TPI. Its rated at 170 hp at 4000 rpm and 255 ftlbs at 2400 rpm. The 5 speed makes it a little better than a automatic. If the body and interior are in good shape Id say go for it, then later you can ditch the 305 for something better. If the body needs work or the interior is kinda shotty, keep on looking. Just my .02c

If it's TBI, I don't want it. I'll look for an IROC with 5.7, I guess.

So whats with the raggin' on a 1992 RS Camaro, w/a 305.
yes a 350 would be nice. but where can you find one, without
buying a brand new one.these cars have the look. they just need a push in the right way with the engine.
