Over here in the Vilseck clan, we have a very good Opel/ Factory GM guy, Mr. Bilmier.

With my first F body, an LT-1, (Z28) he replaced the 460LE tranny with a factory rebuilt one.

Parts and Labor, somewhere around $1,500.00 to $2,000.00.

I never had a problem with it- however the LT-1 got totalled one year later,

Larry from the craft shop here grabbed it up immediately,

And now I am driving an LS-1 (T/A) with 6 speed manual for a few years now.

The car right now is in Detroit. That is were the pics were taken last summer.

As far as the tranny price goes I can get a racing tranny for 2k. I just would rather wait until mine goes before having to do that. heh
